The addition to animal print is one of my rule, just a little here and there and it makes all the difference as well as warming the space. I'm crazy about the sedum in the basket at the bottom of the lamp. I kept going back to look at it. I don't know why I also like to hang small. items from the lamp. Love the chest, lamp and the decor! Anxious to see fall cuz Ido early Christmas and skip fall! The cottage is so beautiful and just heavenly! I got the most beautiful sedum sprays at a place called Southern Attic in North Carolina and love it! The brass birds are wonderful and boy do you ever find neat things! I’m going shopping today after I watch this cuz you got me in the mood!😛🥳😂 Looking through the arch is awesome! Love it! The footstools are to die for but so are the chairs! I watched your video in which you named certain colors "Academia colors". Never heard of such so I searched--and lo and behold, there they were! I'm "over the moon" as my mother-in-law used to say. I've been using those colors in my house but didn't know they were an actual palette, even have a name; I thought I was so attracted to them because of my aging brain (78 soon to be 79). I thought it was old age setting in--explanation for my huge attraction.
However, as I worked on my present house I found to my great surprise, colors I used in my previous house (1994) still hold great attraction for me. example the intense, almost slate blue color. And, amazing beyond amazing--my mother used them in her house. Without planning, my chickens are even dark Academia colors: Black Laced Gold Wyandottes. But, O, my, the Blue Laced Red Wyandottes are simply gorgeous--so Academia.
You CAN teach an old dog new tricks! Almighty Heavenly Father keeps us learning; keeps us growing, keeps us doing. We're a blessed bunch.

Bev, love the look of your vintage finds. I had a pair of similar birds that I purchased from Home Interiors. To my regret, I sold them at a yard sale. Try a rechargeable light bulb for your floor lamp to eliminate tripping on the cord .hide it underneath the platform until you secure a new rug . Very reasonable at Walmart . Good luck with the paper install.Excited for you 😊
