About Me: Sarra Cannon writes contemporary and paranormal fiction with both teen and college-aged characters. Her novels often stem from her own experiences growing up in the small town of Hawkinsville, Georgia, where she learned that being popular always comes at a price and relationships are rarely as simple as they seem.
Sarra started indie publishing in 2010 and has sold over three-quarters of a million copies of her books.
She is a devoted (obsessed) fan of Hello Kitty and has an extensive collection that decorates her desk as she writes. She currently lives in Dallas, Texas with her amazingly supportive husband, her adorable red-headed son, and her beautiful little girl.

Pls don’t take that one persons trash talk to heart!!! As the balance sits, you outweigh one slow book release with your positive contributions, immensely!! It’s just a book. You are a mother, wife, business person and a woman (and probably more things). Perspective is wonderful, I wish more keyboard warriors would get some. Rose ❤❤❤❤

We all deserve grace to live our lives and do all the things. If a person can’t allow you that grace then they should just move on. Those of us who appreciate how generous you are with your authenticity and work will always be here x

  • @shelfunstable

So much love for you Sarra. You're inspiring and hardworking, and talented in so many ways. I'm very thankful for everything you do ❤

  • @barbaraferguson3932

I wanna go all big sister on the person who made you cry. You are one of the sweetest, nicest people out there. How dare they be so cruel.

  • @tatumseligman6740

Life happens, your real fans know that your book is going to be worth the wait. You are perfect the way you are and you should give yourself grace. Thank you for everything that you do and I can tell you I am so excited to read this book that you put out because I'm so sure it's going to be amazing, as I said- it is worth waiting for it. I know that you are just putting your heart into it. Sorry for the rant. 🍒🥰

  • @CorisandeBennett

You are a beautiful soul, you are doing so much for your community! I may not know you as well as everyone else, haters come when you are being successful that makes you proud of yourself and the real friends, the people who do matter don't care.

  • @LivToRead8

I always saw preorders as a way to ensure I'd get a copy of the book when it was released, while also supporting the author as they completed it. If someone is upset about not receiving their copy at a precise time, they might want to reconsider preordering from any author. I've had preorders delayed by up to a year from major publishing companies even. I'm not angry at the authors for the delay-things happen. I want to read the best possible version of their book, and by preordering, I feel like I'm also helping cheer them along the way for how ever long it takes.

  • @YouAreJoy

I just wanted to send you lots of love Sarra! You have helped me so much with motivation and feeling so much better about myself. Lots of big hugs from Sweden! ♥♥♥♥

  • @LeahWhitehorse

Oh Sarra, I cried to see you cry! I'm so sorry to hear this unpleasant person upset you. I can relate so much to the constant feeling of needing to prove yourself, the constantly pushing yourself to do more, be more because underneath a little voice keeps saying 'not enough' (in my case anyway). It's a challenge and you're amazing - not only for all you have accomplished but all that you share along the way,. Sending so much love and gratitude for all your inspirational content.

  • @AlyssaB-725

I am not sure I can say anything that hasn't already been said- there are so many supportive comments on here! Don't let anyone undermine all that you have given to the world. Also, I completely understand your reluctance to find a doctor. I genuinely believe that positive lifestyle changes to diet and exercise are the most important steps in improving our health and beginning the path to healing health issues. The advancements in medical technologies and pharmaceuticals have created a bad habit of some medical professionals and everyday people to forget the simplest ways to help ourselves. I truly hope you find a doctor who is on the same page as you for your own health. Love the crystals! You are an inspiration.

My heart goes out to you. I feel this deeply. You are doing so much for other writers and your readers. You are strong. My last full length book was published in 2018. You ARE a writer. I AM a writer. George RR Martin IS a writer. It’s your book at your pace. 💗

  • @tracy-marie

Your only human. You have a family that always must come first. And businesses we will love writing and we would all love for our books to be written and published within two months, but if you rush the process and you take the joy out of it then the reader’s not going to love the end product. Don’t let them get to you. I’m sure your book is going to be great and definitely worth the wait.

  • @dawnmcmurray8535

I love you so much! It's ok to be a human. You are going to fall behind. It shows that even someone who is a huge success can have down times too. Makes me nit so hard on myself.

  • @cecilywolfe4571

HB90 and your CZcams videos changed my life, both personally and professionally. No matter what anyone else says, you are an incredible force of nature for good and no one can take that away from you. You are loved and appreciated so much.

  • @lindaholbrook7447

Thank you for your support Sarra.

  • @OnlineTherapistGroup

I cannot imagine my life going so well and so easy that the thing I’m going to get so worked up about and shout about in the internet EVERwHERE is that an author didn’t publish a book on the schedule they suggested or I expected. C’mon!

  • @chelseamcampbell

I love you and everything that you do! You put SO MUCH good out into the world, in so many different ways, and you have brought so much joy and positivity and healing into my life! I am here for you and am not going anywhere. It also wasn't until you mentioned in one of your videos that you'd had a pre-order you had to cancel that I stopped beating myself up about my own cancelled preorder. (And letting go of that negativity probably also had something to do with me eventually finishing the book, though I haven't published it yet - I no longer feel like I have to throw books out into the world as soon as possible, like I'm trying to stave off hungry wolves, lol.) One of my worst fears as an author is letting people down and disappointing them, whether it's by not making the books they want, or not getting them done fast enough, or just making something they hate, and those are hard to face when they happen (and they've all happened, to some degree or another, at this point - ugh). When somebody pokes at our worst fears, especially ones that tie into our identity, it can be so devastating. But even if there's some truth to those fears, it's never the whole truth. You're an author, but you're also so much more than that. (That person is so small, they just can't see it.) And no matter what readers might think, they don't need you to be a book factory - they need you to be you, even if that takes time, and even if it means wearing more than one hat. /soapbox

  • @Life.W.Walkinshaw

I would as many others would rather wait for your best work and you put all your love and creativity into something beautiful and your proud of is what I want to read and so many authors and creatives go through. It make so SOOO RELATABLE to sooo MANY people! and thats why your have a following, thats why your true "fans" are here and support will never leave. You have not let anyone down. Your real, your honest and watching someone take their health and family seriously is inspiring. You'd have haters saying " all she does is write and spends no time with family" if you did the opposite. Your always going to have those people who think they are entitled to your work... NO ! IT'S A FREAK PRIVILEGE to read an authors work. SARRA you are an amazing person and business owner and inspire so many people and we love and follow you because of how transparent your are. Watching that part of the coffee chat broke my heart as you are such a light to so many people. I know its easier said then done.... but please remember you have so many true lovers of your work and drive as a creative and a few nay-sayers is NOT WHO YOU ARE and DOES NOT reflect your work ethic! 💜🖤💜🖤💜

Honestly, I'm going through your older videos (and enjoying the heck out of them!) and this might be weird to say, but I find the 'delays' on DOVS *inspiring*.

  • @AnnetteGregorio

Please don’t cry!!! That 1 person does not speak for all of us!!!!❤❤❤❤
