Nice! There's always room to add a few dwarf conifers!
For sure! The problem is I want to add a bunch more… 😅
Outstanding blue color and texture! I too have become fascinated with all of the small conifers that are available, and have been tucking them into my landscape where i can find the space.
I’m sure I will end up doing the same next season! They’re like collectibles 😂
I feel the same way about evergreens! I've started an evergreen garden this year and I'm loving it so far. It's funny I've actually planted a few that I've seen in some of your past videos, Horstmann Blue Atlas Cedar, Hinoki Cypress, Cryptomeria, Blue Spruce.. all so pretty. 🙌
Those seem beautiful! If you have instagram feel free to send me a picture! I love seeing other gardens, especially with evergreens!
Both tree selections are gorgeous. Just a note of warning on chamaecyparis lawsoniana: it is *very* prone to root rot so it needs to be planted high. I have killed a couple because I planted them like I had done other trees (ie at grade).
Good to know, thank you very much!! The bed I created is a little bit higher, and I did mound up the soil a bit, but I’ll be sure to keep an eye on it 😉
Love love love
This will look great! I'd love to go visit the Iseli nursery some day. I planted a Montana Moss Juniper and a couple of dwarf Globe Blue Spruce conifers this year next to plants with red and gold foliage for a nice contrast during the summer and winter interest.
That sounds great! I’ve been eyeing a globe blue spruce but I’m just not sure what I could put one
Love watching your videos and your garden grow. It is s smaller sized yard much like mine. Though small , can be a lot of work. I also need more evergreen. Less maintenance.
That’s the whole idea of this garden! Generally, I’m putting plants in that will take up space where grass would otherwise need to be mowed weekly, and only minor maintenance on these plants!
Nice choices and locations!
Thank you!
