Was waiting for this video of the 18mm f/1.8
The footage from 9:45 looks amazing!
Smooth, luxurious with noticeable subject separation and bokeh but still plesant to look at.
Sometimes the bokeh can be too much.
I was thinking whether I need this lens as I have the kit lens, the 35mm an 50mm primes and the big daddy Lumix Pro Leica Certified 24-70mm f/2.8
Seeing the footage makes me want it.
It is great for CZcams talking head videos.
Great for establishing shots.
Great for a primary or secondary angle.
And in my opinion it is great for street photography.
Let's not forget that if we use the S5's APSC mode this lens becomes a 27mm focal length.

It's a great lens brother...If you need something thing wider than that powerhouse Lumix S Pro 24-70mm then this is the one. I'll probably use this lens for my talking head portion in my videos with the 1.5 crop. It's a fun lens and I'm sure that you will enjoy it. Thanks for stopping by brother.

I am in the process of completing my CZcams studio and soon I hope to put out content regularly.
I have invested in the Lumix gear, microphone, lights, standup desk, chair etc.
Even though I do not plan to go into the business of photography / videography I plan to use Lumix Gear as a vital and consistent part of my foundation.

Awesome! I’m considering going from the R6 to the S5IIX for hybrid shooting. Love the video specs on the Lumix. However, the excellent AF & tracking on the Canon, especially on the PHOTO side has me hesitating. However I know LUMIX just released a firmware update with improvements to their AF. So I’m wondering if this will compare it to the Canon AF at all? Any suggestion on which way to go?
I would choose the S5iix but I'm #LumixGang so I'm bias.

I’m looking to buy an s5iix. I’m using the student discount and I can’t decide which bundle. I would mainly be using it for my tech CZcams channel. The options are the s5iix with the 20-60 and the 50mm for 2200 or get the body only with the 24, 35, and 50 for 2400? What would you recommend?
I would just spend the extra $200 and get the three primes tbh.

It's probably your HDMI cable isn't fast enough. Do you have the camera set to raw output and is your video assist updated?

do you really see a difference between internal and braw after uploading to CZcams? I dont see a difference in your footage.
When the colors are pushed you can. If you look at the part where I'm talk with the Raw Codec @7:50 then the internal codes you can see the difference. The highlight rolloff is smoother on Raw because it's 12 bit.
what would you ranter have... internal codec but using Open Gate with an Anamorphic lens for that special look or Lumix primes but with Braw external. you cant use open gate in the Video Assist. It's hard to see the difference in CZcams honestly. Would be cool if you did an exact comparison of internal and Braw with the same shots in different lighting situations and then grade it with something like Phantom Lut for Arri colors. I see what you mean by pushing the grade but is that really useful when what people usually want is an Arri grade or something that looks filmic instead of intense filter. At 6:25 you have a direct comparison and I cant see the difference watching this in full screen 4k on a MacBook M3 Max
@ThatGuyOverThereWeird I understand...I don't have 6k open gate on the OG, I'd rather have 12 bit atm because I don't use anamorphic lenses right now. 12 bit to 10 bit is the same as 10 bit to 8 bit. It's a smoother gradation between colors. You may not be able to tell in the comparison because the lighting was neutral. I can fake anamorphic and 90% of people won't know.
@@Bigcookfilms if you can make a video comparing the internal and braw in various lighting situations such as sunset, daytime, shade etc., id happily promote your video on other forums because this question has been asked many times and its very hard to find these comparisons on CZcams. there are a couple but its one shot of someone indoors. Cant tell the difference with shadows and highlights on face. I have spent at least 40 hours reading forums and looking up videos looking for these comparisons and nothing. People either rave about it or say 10bit is good enough. When I ask for actual footage samples, they say they will get around to it or are busy so I have no idea why people have these Video Assists. They dont seem to be doing any filming with them. The reason we look this stuff up on CZcams is to be able to make a purchase decision and people want subscribers and views but they all make the same videos. I feel I have to order one myself and do my own tests and make a CZcams video about it cause nobody else will.
