When did Pona yam became Nigerian yam? Pona is a Ghanaian name. So what is this man talking about? Ghana started exporting yams to UK long time ago. Why are calling Nigerian yam pona. Do you see the difference between Ghana yam and that of Nigeria? The taste and even the shape of the yams don't come close to each other. It is only recently that Nigerian exporters started shipping their products from Ghana ports. Ghana has been shipping yams to UK, US and many European countries for years now. I knew two men in Kumasi who were shipping yams to UK way back in the sixties. Therefore, brother get your facts straight.

Looking at someone talking about pona yam coming from Nigeria. Since when Ghana imported yams from Nigeria. Ghana has varieties of yams that Nigeria even don't come close. Ghana has never and will never import food like yam from Nigeria. Why every progress Ghana is making has bad taste in the mouth of Nigerians? They hate to see Ghana making economic progress. I met one Nigerian in Atlanta in the eighties when Ghana was going through economic woes. This man was trashing Ghana as useless nation which citizens come to his country to do all kinds of mania jobs and prostitution. Now the current has turned against them and they just can't take it. God bless Ghana.

Why Nigeria always wants to challenge Ghana over a certain things, although Nigeria has a huge population but Nigerians should not forget that Ghana is older than Nigeria, when Nigeria Naira was stronger than Ghana Cedis Nigerians were happy but now 10,000 Naira only gives you a mere 120 ghana cedis, the Nigerians are not happy,Nigerians don't allow Ghanaians to bring items to their countries to sell but they always bring items to Ghana to sell yet we don't complain. When we opened our new airport the Nigerians were making comparisings, when Ghana introduced a free Senior Secondary Education Nigerians are comparing, yet you bring your children to ghana schools all the time we don't complain.Lets learn to love one another...as Africans.

If Ghana packages it's products using international standard and it's more easy to do business in Ghana, why name your propaganda message as "Accra is taking your Country's revenue"?. Yam and vegetables you talked about are all grown in Ghana as well. The best you can do is to ask your Alata government to make your country and produce coming from there more attractive to the international world. They should help reduce corruption to the bearest minimum. Law enforcement should fight internet fraud and scamming. Will you also say Alata people are stealing from the Ghanaian port authorities and the Ghana revenue authority? How about the tens of thousands of Alata importers that ship their goods from China, Dubai and other parts of the world to Nigeria and move all of them to Ghana as though they are coming from Nigeria(using ECOWAS member states protocols) without paying duties at the ports, but little bits on the borders?
Alata people should STOP that propaganda, after all Ghana is an older country than Nigeria and you can't expect Ghanaians to be sleeping.

. The oils discovered in Ghana, Nigerians are at the heart of the discovery. We are contributing to the growth of ur economy. I guess u will say we should go and grow our own economy but Nigerians have been known for decades to travel abroad and invest or make it big in a foreign country through legal businesses. Ghanaians never did, infact did not have the courage until recent years. That's the fact. Am in my fifties and when l was young l heard of Nigerians who made their fortune outside the shores of Nigeria. That trend is continuing. We have Dangote for example investing and creating jobs for people in southern, western and eastern countries of Africa. There are several small and medium sized businesses owned and operated in Ghana. There are also the unscrupulous ones giving us bad names. But that should be expected.
