- My opinion of these 2 ukuleles. I am not endorsed. I own both of these. The LavaU was a gift and I purchased the Outdoor Uke.
In my video I said the concert Lava U was $269, it's $279.

The strap is a bit if a pain. Too friggin expensive. I think the case is just too much. The clear plastic window will get scratched. Not practical. . I just bought an outdoor tenor.

Terrible review in my opinion. How do you review and compare the LAVA uke without the freeboost. That's insane. Besides carbon fiber that is what sets it apart and is the reason for the price. Other cheap straps can be used with LAVA. Most cheap straps come with new easy screw in nuts. The custom LAVA "Ideal" strap only costs 49 dollars on Ali Express. NOT 160 bucks. I59 is Amazon's price for the LAVA complete accessory pack.
People in every other review adore the case. Its one of their favorite things about it aside from the reverb/chorus delay feature. She didn't even put it in the case to show how beautifully it presents. If you are concerned about scratches put it in the included slip bag, styrofoam or any tenor Uke case like the one you have to buy separate for the Outdoor uke. Oddly no complaint about the lack of case paying more for pickups and installation for the outdoor. Of course you don't care about scratching the outdoor Ukelele because it looks like a beater when its brand new. The Lava is dressed to impress. Its a case you carry to a gig because you want people to see it. You don't check it into baggage at the airport. You don't throw tent poles and camping gear on it.
Lava is marketed to professionals but attracts everyday users who get excited about the sexy style of the package and freeboost effects. You don't need to modify the Uke to put Low G string on. One of two solutions is reusable bridge beads or ball/ bullet end strings.

The Lava is very expensive, sounds si bad...the strap's price is insane...just marketing in a nice shape 😏 not a real uke!
Other than price nothing you said is true. Its a professional level Uke with pickups. Mia stupidly did not feature the freeboost feature which provides reverb, chorus and delay effects WITHOUT hooking up to an amp. You can sit around the campfire using delay and make it sound like you are outdoors in an open space or in a concert hall because of the additional echo it provides. It sounds fantastic. But you can hook it up to an amp! Its carbon fiber which means you can take it anywhere without worrying about heat cold or rain distorting the neck or changing the sound quality. The custom strap is not $159.00 as Mia said. Its only $49.00 which is pricey but not insane considering Outdoor premium straps are 35 dollars plus they have similar buttons to LAVA available for six buck. By the time you are done accessorizing your Outdoor with Pickups you will have paid 300 dollars You will not have Freeboost reverb chorus and delay or the awesome shell presentation case and you will own an ugly ass ukelele you will have no problem tossing camping gear on or throwing in the dirt on a wilderness trip.
She had some psycho thing going on about not presenting this Uke in a good light . People RAVE about this case and she crapped all over it. You can take this camping and toss it in your trunk face up and not scratch the surface. It comes with an included protective cloth bag and styrofoam shell if that's a concern. If she wants a carry strap for the case, just buy one for ten bucks. They almost all come with easy drill mounts at no cost. She seemed to have no problem doing an unnecessary radical mod on the strings. How does she not know there are strings that come with what she calls peggy doodle bops.
She wonders why the Lava went out of tune! She put NEW strings on the LAVA U. That is why it went out of tune. It takes up to a couple weeks for new strings settle in. This neck and body is one piece of carbon fiber it does not distort in any way. Those are premium tuners superior to the screw tuners on the Outdoor.
@@asyouwish9567 you clearly dont have any clue of what a pro uke is sounding... anyway, for this price there is lot of brand providing real serious instruments (flight for exemple). The lava sound awfull, you should hear that my friend! Good uke to you...😏
@@coolbudukeforever7305 This morning I wrote a comment I felt the Enya Uke sounded much superior to Lava U. Never the less the You Tube reviewer really rocked the Lava U delay. He had tremendous fun with its features.
And you simply don't review this Uke without calling attention to its features. The Lava U is not a Ukelele for someone to toss into a backpack. You will not find an advertisement showing this being sold to outdoorsy types. The Outdoor is made for camping. All the Lava company advertising is directed at professionals for stage performance and attract people that are going to like its stylish looks and enjoy its sexy electonics and case. Peoples eyes light up when they see the Lava U. They say they have never been more excited to open up a new Uke.
Was the Ovation the best guitar on the planet. Probably not. It was a quality guitar. But fans thought it was sexy and may of their Rock heroes played the Ovation with its pretty wood flourishes on the soundboard.
That space case is fucking amazing. You are going to look good coming on stage with that. But if you wanted to take it camping on a scorching summers day or in the dead of winter or even in a light rain you could safely bring this to the campfire and impress your friends not just with the looks but with the sounds it can produce without an amp.
@@asyouwish9567 yeah it's maybe a fun toy, so very expensive for what it is... but i never saw a pro player using it in videos or concert...Just because it sounds bad and no effects can change that! You can find many reviews, just marketing...i just whant to tell the truth about this uke because i don't lire this brand and the way they cheat poeple with expensive bad instrument...
