      Awesome brother! I've had outboards and surface drives and I'm hooked on the longtails from Go Devil. They'll take you anywhere you want to go and further.

      @@travisfuller6590 Just some plywood. But I coated it in truck bed liner for non-slip and durability purposes.

      @YouKnowWhoTheBand nice, I am 43 years old. Just bout my son first mud motor. 16 horse vangaurd go devil. Any tips on getting lil more speed. More rpms..

      @@barrylandry4447 I'll assume it's carbureted - best things to do would be adjust the throttle cable to be tighter, adjust the throttle body, an exhaust, maybe bigger jets for the carb or a bigger carb in general. Other that that you can take down the block and put a cam and lifters and all that in. But I think that would be overkill for a 16hp. Hope that helps and I hope your son stays safe and has fun on the water.

      @@barrylandry4447 grab bars are very handy and for a safety thing also,
      I see a lot of guys run em without grab bars, if you get in a lot of trash, logs and stumps, it will throw you,
      Nice to have something to hold onto
