My PC Screen went off at 14:53, so i played the rest of the solo until 15:21 without the base song X.X. For lucky, i played it in the correct speed, so when i mixed the guitar recorded with the song, that "muted part" fitted correctly. Just an almost-fail perform that ended "well" 🤣 🤣 ]

Greatest play!! I really understand HIDE and PATA were great player. In addition to that, YOSHIKI is the one of the great musician in the world that we should respect.
Well, it's been a while since I recorded this cover and it brings back memories of when I could play guitar for hours sitting in a chair (now I suffer from the sciatic nerve and the only way I can play comfortably is while standing). I think it's the time to play Art of Life again, but this time in a 3 screen mode (like my latest videos), playing Heath, PATA, and hide's instruments.
YOSHIKI, as a mastermind, gives us a lesson on how an epic work is formulated at this level. However, I think that if Taiji had been in the band in 1993 during the recording of Art of Life, the band would have been an even higher level, and he probably would have found a way to make even PATA have a moment to shine during the performance following concerts at the tokyo dome.
Returning to what brings me memories of this video, that day I used the audio of that LG TV to save time, but I forgot that I had activated the automatic shutdown after 15 minutes without pressing any button xDDDDD, and then while I was playing on At minute 14:53, it went off (no screen, no sound x.x) xDDDD. In one way or another I continued playing, maintaining the correct rhythm and pulse, praying that at the first opportunity I could move the mouse or press a key and that the song would play again in the same part that I was playing. luckily I made it at 15:17 and was able to finish the song in one take

Amazing, I try to play this song, I'm working on it for months but I'm still not fast enough. I did use palm mute when I begin before I saw they doesn't. I'm wondering how do you keep it clean without palm muting the open E string? Did you made it by hear or did you find a tab? I've got a tab wich is good (I couldn't do it by hear) but not perfect, some melodic part are missing. My goal is to play this song and I'm giving me more than one year to do it. I'm working a lot as I'm not a very good guitar player for now. Do you think it's a good idea to work on something so complex and hard to play to make progress? Thank you for the video it help a lot to see someone play it in a close shot.
I learn all the songs by ear for the same reason that you explain: a lot of tabs had several mistakes or bad "postures". Hide matsumoto had a very unique techique, playing from up to down in the solos. When you catch that mode, its turn a lot easy to play. I can't understand the question about the open E string (my english is very limited xdd)
And yes, i record my videos very close to the guitar and in 1 take, without cuts or playback, cause i put here to help other guitarist to see how to play some parts thst they want to see.

The particularity of Hide's Guitar Solos, is that you can sing em'. When i learned on guitar that song years ago, the first thing i did was memorize hide's solos like a vocal melody and then, when i began to reach the song key to key (i didn't kinow that things like Guitar Pro already existed xdd) it was too much easy the memorize the longest parts (i talk about memorize them, because there's some parts tha are a bit difficult to play, like the final epic solo x.x). So, this song is special to me, and i think it is for several other people too!!

Malmsteen and hide have a lot of big different. Both of them are the best for me. Malmsteen is the reason why I start to play fast and hide is the reason why I start to learn how to riff

この曲のソロの所とかほとんどのところをHIDEはダウンピッキングで弾いてるっぽいんだよな、、真似したことあるけど手がもげそうだった、、
i try to replicate HIDE's technique when i play X-JAPAN songs. For that reason i learned all of his songs by ear (and not tabs), because he changed many things in the songs, compared to the studio versions. (like 8:01 to 8:03). I think the best way to "play down" is relax the last 3 fingers, and just putting the power in the Thumb and Index Finger!
