So beautifully done, but why does it sound transposed down one step from what’s on the sheet music?

The piece can be performed with Bb or C Trumpet. In this case the sheet music is showing the Bb part.

Absolutely gorgeous. Selina plays beautiful music beautifully and on a rotary valve trumpet (C?), my favourite of the trumpet family, which blends so well with the band

It's a rotary valve trumpet, mostly used in central Europe, I think.
