I think you and ThalesPo are correct. I also think that what helped to make M.J the greatest dancer was, not just his ability to rehearse for hours on end, but also FEELING everything he did, he could deeply feel the music in him, he always said that a dancer's biggest mistake was thinking...he never thought about his dancing, he just felt it and moved his body accordingly to it. And that was a huge part of his God given talent...he could feel and see things in his dancing as well as in his music that no one else could, he knew there was always something more he could do..because he felt every single thing he did!! That's what makes M.J the greatest entertainer of all time!! (: Peace be with everyone in this New Year and please...take good care of yourselves and one another (:

Michael was taught at a young age by Motown to repeat repeat repeat ..they taught him showmanship...anyone with learning can be a dancer but he was a dancer in his DNA. When he performed he thought of every last detail that some don't even think about. No one will ever top him.

      Joseph made him a perfectionist.
He would have gotten lashes for missing steps. He said it himself to Bashir.
But the thing about it was that he realized he was so good of a dancer around 1976 that he could pick up anything on que without real training.
Similar to the way Nick Cannon's Drum Line character could pick up drum combos but couldn't read music for shit.
      This still happens today.

Jojos25 nah. Michael was something special. don't see many with a talent for dancing (he came out of the womb dancing -- little Michael w/ the Jackson 5!) and singing (4 octaves, flawless falsetto/growls/adlibs, unique sound without having to force his voice) and innovation (taking inspiration from the ones before him, crediting them, and then revolutionizing the moves) and creativity (his songs were all unique, he cannot be replicated, but there r tons of impersonators who try in the singing/dancing area). probably one of the most talented people to ever live, if not the most. his influence is here today in kids n teens (like myself) who love him & the messages in his songs. the most famous celebrity ever, probably the most awarded, the most influential man in modern music (past 4-5 decades or so), and the best in the entertainment biz.
