The typhon is a awesome rig and universal like you said. I’ve always wanted to truggify one with all m2c parts, might just have to order one while it’s still on sale
I've always had a soft spot for 1/8th buggies since I raced them with nitro engines back in the early 90's.
Prefer a tough built one rather than race spec 'cos sometimes you want to send it.
I wanted a Typhon 6s since the V4 came out but waited till the V5 and scooped one up as quick. Wasn't disappointed one bit.
It's an animal even as a box stock RC. Very good looking, and the only mods done to mine is a bigger rear wing from Louise, Arrma metal diff cases and a proper shim of all the diffs inside and out.
One of my favs and TBH out of the box it handles well, on 6s it's plenty fast. Shreds tyres like my Felony lol.
Funnily enough I too like the stock electronics the Arrma's come with.
That blue body is stunning. Great pickup. I can't believe that was the same part😆
I know right? I actually had the video done and was uploading it while I was working on the buggy. When I saw that, I was like, "wtf?" and stopped the upload and quickly though it into the video. :)

I've actually got the pre horizon 6s Senton with the kinda army green canopy and clear spoiler..c)w the blx system..... I've also had offers for it.. but she was my first Arrma and 6s line.. don't think I could ever part with it. I'm currently toying with the idea of the Typhon or the TLR.. really agree on the blue body it looks beautiful... A good decision. 👌😎
I wish I had never sold mine. The Senton is a beast.

Typhon is a great buggy! The blue body is the way to go! I got mine back in the V3 days but it is so upgraded at this point it doesn’t matter 🤩 I kinda want a TLR one just because they are cheap 😂 It would be a better option than the pro SC. I have started to think it time to move on from it 🤷♂️
I was thinking the same. I was going to pick up a TLR, but the sale made it that much easier to grab the rtr.

The basherqueen carbon towers are very tough wear good and light.
I’m waiting on the scorched parts to be restocked , do you know if the scorched chassis and towers will fit on the tlr ?

You can put together a TLR type Typhon very cheap by user it's for runner? The TEAM Durango DEX 8 , it's the original Typhon as 95 % or more of the parts are the sane down to there part numbers being the same, AR /TD then the part number are the same lol, I just bought a complete DEX as I already owned the nitro versions, you could also use the Mojave arms as I have used on a Corally Radix 6 hybrid, ( Ryan Lutz ) was team driver for Team Durango and if you can find footage of his racing the DEX which is the TLR vesiom Typhon you get an idear of what it's capable of. I've just found a place thatcis still selling the complete DEX kits still super cheap.

@Cafu B did you understand what I been talking about lol ,Its a DEX 8 which is a TLR Typhon, go on line and do some research to make sure you k ow what you want ok .

@Cafu B not found, I own 4 of them and a Typhon lol . AND IT DOSE NOT LOOK LIKE THE TYPHON LOL, It is the TLR Typhon lol .Team Durango was the original, Arrma Durango Ltd , all the info is in my first post .
I just got one also...love my other one...but i wanted one for OFF ROAD...
Just a quick note. From the videos I’ve seen, this Typhon doesn’t seem to handle jumps very well and has limited control on landing corrections. Is that your experience too? I’ve been contemplating a buggy or the Traxxas Maxx. I’d love to have a buggy style RC that can jump well, land well and be rather robust as the Maxx. What’s your thoughts on that tentative RC search? Also, I noticed the Typhon link in your description is not working. Please advise and share when you have a quick moment. Thank you for your time and the video. 😎👊
I don’t have a typhon buggies just don’t suit my driving style , buggies suck on rough terrain which is primarily where I run .

Hi mate I thought I was buying a arrma typhon 6s through google but no it's a scammer called Racingtama 😭😭. I have a couple of 6s kraton's and love them. But I really wanted a typhon but I got scammed instead 😭😭
My TLR chassis outlast any stock armma chassis RC dude 81 has a video of him beating the heck out of it and didn't bend! Nice video!
I've been in RC for over ten years and don't own a Typhon. I just don't see the appeal of buggies. I would have thought more people would own the Kraton than the Typhon since monster trucks are so popular for bashing.
Regardless, it will be interesting to see how you build this.
I have both but my big Labrador loves the buggy ,whereas the Kraton scares her. Also the Typhon handles great in my yard and zips around some obstacles. Kraton is great for big open spaces especially when overpowered. I also run the Typhon on 4s very fun and efficient.
