"Can I speak to Geordi. I can literally see him lying there dead, but I'm gonna ask anyways."
In Transporter room: “Engage... No don’t engage, ENERGIZE that’s what we say in this room.”
"Engage"
"Captain, transporter room five has detached from the ship and is now travelling at warp nine."
I met Jonathan Frakes some years ago and had a brief conversation with him. Our interaction was business but I had to tell him I was a fan of his work on TNG and Gargoyles. He seemed to like that I mentioned Gargoyles. Really nice guy. I said to my supervisor later, "pull up my last call and see who I talked to" and he geeked out when he went "you talked to Commander Riker!". Good times
If you watch the bloopers, it's a wonder they ever got filming done
@@austinnorton7518 16 hours of filming yielding 3 minutes of usable footage... ;) But, yeah, there's no doubt that the joking around brought them close as a cast and made the whole thing that much more believable.
In ST:Voyager, when Janeway says goodbye to Kes (before she came back for a reappearance for one episode later on), the tears she shed were real tears as she was really saying goodbye to a friend she had worked with for years.
I love the blooper where Picard refers to Data as admiral and Brent stays in perfect character and says "I do not believe you have the authority to promote me to admiral." Lol It was classic.
@@onidaaitsubasa4177 Actually that's not a blooper but a scene from the final show! Or maybe it was a blooper but it was so good they decided to keep it. Either way, it's a classic.
"...and he slept with stuff...' OMG that was hilarious. God Bless you Marina Sirtis.
"I'LL GET IN THE BLACK SLIME"
_ Jonathan Frakes
This is the first time I’ve realised the fish aliens are saying “Food”, I’d always just heard alien noises
I can't hear it, either. And I never knew or would have guessed who that was under there.
I think I realized the "Food" but I never knew that Mick Fleetwood was one of the fish people, it would have been funny if they had had a Caitian crew member there, cause they're a cat species.
The cast had perfect chemistry. When you have chemistry between people, you see art form.
I wish I could go back in time when the biggest problem was me missing an episode of TNG
So when Yugoslavia was in a state if civil war?
Every time period contains its own challanges, but in general standards of living have increased world wide.
@@rick7424 You are completely right. But also you can actually go back to that. It may seem impossible to many people now, but mindfulness can get you there.
I was in high school when I first watched it and on balance it was possibly the most stressful period of my life. It was a good distraction.
Mchael Dorn is so funny, his character was deadly serious but they couldn't help put some funny moments in scene. Great hidden comedian!
Good tea. Nice house.
Best thing to say if you don't know what to say, but don't want to be unfriendly also
.
Which do you like better?
WORF: I never played with toys.
DATA: And I was never a boy.
OR
WORF: I never played with boys.
DATA: And I was never a toy.
Either way, Michael Dorn is best _Star Trek_ Michael.
The straight man is hard to play. That's what made his character great. Loved them all, and wish them well for entertaining me for so long. I wish they would make a proper farewell movie. It would have to be a great script, where they ALL get screen time.
I was 10 years old when it premiered. Here I am, 6 days till my 42nd Birthday, and I still love this show.
@Anna Biotic. I know exactly how you feel. I've always loved ST. I still remember being a little boy, sitting on the couch w/ my dad. When we saw the TNG trailer for the 1st time.
@@Nick1979BN I was younger, but it’s the earliest great TV I remember. Us and my dad would sit down and watch it together.
We always referred to Yar as “that character who keeps on dying”.
Haha me also. I remember everyone expecting it to tank when it premiered because it had some big shoes to fill. Wow we're both 42...it doesn't seem like that terrible long ago whenever I'd watch the then brand new episodes.
I watched random episodes as a kid (we only had 1 channel). Currently re-watching all 7 seasons via Netflix.
It's ambitious.
Jonathan unable to pronounce "assistant" slayed me 😆
Try saying the whole line without a break between words. Very hard to do.
@@CsykKrit Some people have an easier time, but "was his assistant" is tough because it's four syllables with a vowel immediately followed by an "s" sound right in a row
Agreed... as funny as Benedict Cumberbatch's inability to say "penguin" when he voiced a nature video.
Printer ink? That scene must have cost a million dollars
"this the most expensive scene in the whole show. so we have to get it right!"
I know right. How many times did they have to go to Office Depot to get that shit done.
Printer Ink is rather cheap in production. It's just that the printer companies charge you extremely high money for it because they know you are willing to pay it.
@@kyoai it's a lot cheaper to refill the cartridges yourself with a needle and bottle injection method but like you said; they know they can charge folks all kinds of convience fee's for buying them already filled.
I really appreciate you showing the respective scenes they're talking about! Really helped with the context and made the stories funnier!
Imagine Data and Worf the most restrained characters in the show being menaces on the set in real life , also remember this was during the time of actual film reels and physical editing. Hillarious in hindsight but miserable for the crew.
See that’s the magic of Next Generation, it’s able to have such a lack of logic sometimes, but still deadass manages to be one of the best Sci-Fi series of all time
1:22 as soon as Patrick said "It wasn't him" Jonathan immediately knew where it was going... 🤭😂🤣
Riker's feast before going to the Klingon ship was actually sushi. Keep in mind all that sushi was under the hot lights while they were setting up for the scene, rehersal, etc.
That Fleetwood anecdote... Superfan can get so excited they suffer total mental blockage.

She always did sexy jokes and stuff like that. Trying to keep some sex appeal, she didn’t age especially well.
@@jamerv86 Met her at a con two years ago and heartily disagree. She can still get it.
And I foolishly thought that the funniest (blooper) line was "... I never played with boy... 😱"!
I preferred the "Oh s---!" when he didn't leave the conference room when he was supposed to.
It wasn't him. It never was. It was his
After that montage from "Beyond Belief" I can't help inserting a patented Jonathan Frakes _"Wrong!"_ right before "It never was" :)
@@FailSonOfAnarchy Was so weird getting notification about this comment next to thumbnail of Riker awkwardly chopsticking noodles into his mouth :)
2:30 the guy screaming "GAGH!" ;)
You may think he made a fool of himself. Then again he correctly predicted J. Frakes was going to say Gagh and had the audacity to show his love for the show. I like the guy!
Doesn't he say "Gum!"? And Frakes says "It wasn't gum. I had live mealworms."
lol, Riker was like the Kirk of TOS
I love that squint eye thing he does when something is wrong. Kirk did it too lol
When the series was on-going, my friends and I would refer to Ryker as 'Re-Kirk'.
2:10 I was wondering who the guy was next to Frakes. It took me five minutes to realise that it was Wil Wheaton A.K.A. Wesley Crusher.
Mick Fleetwood not remembering his one word line is hilarious. xD
"hissississtant" lmao
I think this cast could talk about funny moments all day. In fact, think about it, lots of people like to talk about the funny moments in their lives. They love those days and love to relive it. I can only imagine the best questions to ask an actor when you have the chance is to get them to talk about funny moments on set. JMS did this when the Babylon 5 were so terrible, he just took over and started asking people about funny moments during the show. Best hour and half I had watching that.
I AM THE GODDESS OF EMPATHY. CAST OFF YOUR INHIBITIONS, AND EMBRACE LOVE, TRUTH, JOY...
So funny! Thanks for uploading the clips as they were referencing things! You rock!
Hehehe, and this is John “One Take” Frakes, director extraordinaries, who can’t get through one line. 😋
It’s absolutely clear to see how much this cast loves each other even after all this time and it’s just adorable. Finally is it just me or did that little piece of cloth protecting LeVar Burton’s dignity get higher and higher up his thigh as the takes went on?
Mick Fleetwood couldn't remember "FOOD"?!?!? Cocaine IS a helluva drug.
I wish I could have been on set to witness that magic. I think it would outshine the show. These actors had great chemistry, and you can see that on the show. They need to do a spoof together. Taking this humor from behind the scenes to the front of it.
Surprised the entire cast was there. Wheaten rarely shows for these things.
IlL gEt In ThE BlACk sLIme- Jonathan Frakes.
I understand Frakes' pain... Try to say the phrase "I haven't edited it yet."
I highly appreciate the editing on these, by the way! Your efforts do not go unappreciated.
Mick Fleetwood: Drugs are a hell of a drug.
I remember the Calgary Comic Expo was so overcrowded that day they had to get the fire department involved. I ended up not being able to get in but I went to a handful of panels for individual TNG members the day after.
They had some phenomenal programming and guests back then, the last couple of years it feels like the London Drugs and Nissan dealership booths are regarded as more of a priority.
LOL I remember thinking..... REALLY WRITERS? You couldn't come up with a better cameo for Fleetwood Mac? COME ON. lmao
Well, if he had a problem saying one word, this was probably their only choice.
I never knew it was him and I'm a big Fleetwood mac fan. It's a shame too because Mick Fleetwood has a certain body type, bone structure and height that would've made him an awesome humanoid alien race. It would've been cool to see christine McPhee and stevie nicks as Starfleet officers too.
@@the_original_Bilb_Ono Stevie Nicks would make a great Troi counterpart on another ship. Always had that motherly vibe.
Saw this live at the Calgary Expo. It was awesome seeing them all together having such a great time.
That assistant line bit killed me
Marina's boots rock,I wish I had some like hers.
I love when Frakes starts shouting the line quickly, like a horse rushing a jump trying to get over it. 😂❤
I absolutely Love Bloopers! It makes us all human and to laugh.
lol i love you edited the clips in too
Thank you for your service!
"I never played with boys" is one of my favorite bloopers.
COULD NOT HAVE HAD A BETTER CAST FOR THAT SHOW !
It was a great crew with professional excellent actors having fun. That's why this series has become so good. Everything was just right!
It wasn't him, it never was, it was his assistent.
😳Poor Frakes, that truly is a difficult line. Even Elizabeth Dennehy's "separate the saucer section" seems easier by comparison!😶
wow black slime= black printer ink....my god, i think we found where the budget went!
Nice editing! The naked reveal in particular
Nothing better when you have serious actors on a classic show that can banter like this 🤣😂
All he had to remember was "food".
WHY COULDN'T YOU JUST DUB THAT?
I find it so cute that they had so much fun filming❤
Frakes really seemed like the life of the party lol.
Jonathan Frakes looks like Russell Crowe here.
There was a real chemistry here. Frakes was the purrfect stand guard for this legacy
I could listen to these all day 😂
Imagine getting to share the stage with a bunch of beloved, iconic characters. Oh, and Will Wheaton is there, too, I guess.
"We would not be laughing, we would be in awe!" Does Marina know something the others don't?

Captain
Yep. I hear Warf’s voice too
Oh my god...The Next Generation Cast!!! YAHOOOOOOOOO! So nice to see them talking about their memorable experiences on Star Trek!!
Sounds like Riker had what I call "The Glen Larson Effect". That's where the MOMENT a Glen Larson show character has a girlfriend, boom, she dies.
Yeah, I remember that trope. I always understood it was in order to keep script continuity simple.
It's kinda cool to know any of us had enough talent to play that part...I mean who can forget ONE word for a line? Too many drugs haha
From all accounts this was a really fun group to work with
How in gods name could they ever keep a straight face?, I would be pissing myself laughing, which is probably why I didn’t go into acting in the first place, I was always at best a distraction in drama class in high school, because I just could not keep it straight, I burst into laughter at the most inappropriate time. So I tried my hand at comedy, but for some crazy reason, it didn’t work, I can only laugh when I’m not supposed to! Lousy brain! LOL!
the clips make this eons funnier omg.
Brent spiner is an underated gem
"it wasnt him.. it never was it was hisassistant" 😂1:22
I was half expecting Brent to do his British accent aping Captain Picard again in this one.
The story about Mick Fleetwood reminds me of Tommy Wiseau...
Marina dying at the end 🤣👌
Just clocked that the parallel universe that worf left behind had a dead jordi
They didn't know of anyone taller than Mick Fleetwood
Wil Wheaton off to the side, REALLY wanting to be part of the fun.
Oh gosh, I miss those Wednesday night TNG/Food/booze things, before the Internet. It was so fun.

Mmm mmm mmm LeVar Burton, under that blanket...looking good.
from watching these interviews, it's becoming clear that Michael and Brent were the biggest instigators behind a lot of the backstage antics.
I think Frakes was also a major instigator. Chasing Tracy find the hallway?
