    My parents had a GB32,it was a great little boat. Ours had green vinyl style seating and a Sailor radio to match. The boat has a sturdy feel and is sensibly built. It’s interesting that Grand Banks didn’t tell anybody they were moving from wood to fibreglass for construction. If anything it showed they were prepared to move with the times. I remember the bunk opposite the dining table, locking both bolts in place and that was my bunk. The other was taken by my brother. Changing the gas bottle was not that difficult and having the bottle stored was not difficult either. The recent vessels they have made seem ever popular and as always Grand Banks seem to get it right. Nice video and thanks for posting.

    I'd be interested to learn more about the 'plot charter' & take it that you're in the US.

    I would get it. Extend the main living area and the fly bridge. On the cook pit there would be tons of storage.

      Yea I need to tear out a lot of the interior seating and upgrade to something more comfortable. Extending it would be a bigger project but certainly would be more of what im looking for

      Difficult to insure a boat over 30 years for other than it's cost. No insurance on contents nor renovations - especially if you have no experience piloting such craft. Even more so if you intend live on it fulltime

    Beware of a wood boat that's being sold shortly after it was bought. Get it out of the water and find out why

    • @j.r.johnson2343
      @j.r.johnson2343  Před 4 měsíci

      It's good advice, James, esp bottom inspect, but there are tons of reasons people sell their boats shortly after buying them. Particularly right after covid when so many people were buying boats. Incidentally, 2-3yrs of ownership is an ideal time for a buyer bc the seller has normally been through the "honeymoon" with their boat spending a bunch of money on repairs and upgrades
