    Morning Nath
    Great drive.
A lot of building work in the area you were driving, I take it that's well of the tourist track?
Fantastic little car is Paddy & no reported problems with the temperature, so thermostat install obviously done the job.
Also noticed some of the roads were p##s poor, like ours in Blighty, full of potholes.
Took me back to the silent movie days..... Just let's the viewer enjoy the drive & view. Yes, I know it's HARD to believe I'm old enough, but just like "Foreskin Jumper" I remember those days.
Stay lucky. Stay safe. Stay healthy.

      Hi Alan,
Sorry for the late reply i had a buddy come over to the sunny paradise the last few days.
Don't panic your comments are visible ;)
Paddy is running a treat and getting well used (THRASHED)!
Hope you're keeping that L200 spick and span!
      Have a great weekend!

      Hi Stefano
Paddy is running like a charm, was a faulty (new) thermostat :(
The gear still occasionally grinds into reverse - we are struggling to find any adjustment, although to be honest, not gone 100% at that really.
The other issue is a drivetrain shunt on (very slight) gear change - Nath thinks its the age / system - I think it could be an issue (so will get a pro to cast his eye on it )
The knee is way better thank you - the injections have worked better than I could have hoped for - still being very careful to give the fracture its best chance to knit - but as its taken so long to diagnose it - its 50/50 on that happening !

@@DrivenMadShow Hi Jon....have you attempted to adjust the clutch to determine if you can prevent the gears grinding when you place the car into reverse?
What are the other problems when you change gear, how many miles has the Panda completed please?
If the clutch has been adjusted correctly and the gears are grinding when you select reverse it would suggest that the transaxle is not disconnecting from the engine so that would still suggest a clutch problem, so unfortunately you will need to remove the transaxle unit and inspect / replace the clutch assembly, cover plate, friction plate and thrust bearing, ensuring that everything is correctly aligned when being replaced.
When you changed the oil in the transaxle did you see any metal particles, were there any on the drain plug which should have a magnet?
A quick tip .......when your draining engine, transaxle, transfer box, or differential oil etc place a magnet next to the oil when its draining, if the oil flows towards the magnet then it contains a high amount of metals which indicate wear and possibly damage, the magnet i use is one of the telescopic ones that you can reach to pick up dropped tools, nuts and bolts etc.....
Im sorry about your knee problem with rest and perhaps some rehabilitation / exercises etc i hope it improves for you, everything crossed Jon....hopefully the sun will help, when the weather improves try swimming in the sea thats a great low impact exercise.
      Best regards
      Stefano

I am mega wimpy - 25 degrees and I still have a coat on 😂 we have a pool on the complex where we live, been here almost 4 years and never set foot in it - its freezing to me - the sea, I have been in once, foolishly dived in off a boat, almost got hypothermia - my wife cannot believe how (add your own term here) I am over the cold, the car is set to 25 degrees minimum, she turns it down, I turn it up 🔥
We are going to investigate if fully in a week - the car has covered 135K km - all the oils were good, nothing to report, other than the rear diff was very thick - (looked new as well) so suspect an additive ??
We have some magnets (used for magnet fishing - we did that in Portsmouth when Nath was young, find all sorts !) we use them in the oil, nothing suspect came out.
Knee on the mend - never taken health for granted, but the joy in walking the dog (and I hate walking the dog) was immense !! Short walks only for a month - then physio once the injections are done.

@@DrivenMadShow Good evening Jon....25 degrees thats tropical it was 6 degrees here today with possibly snow forecast.
The oil viscosity in the rear diff unit should have been thin, like you say someone could have placed some form of additive or added the wrong oil grade / type which is probably more likely so thats good you and Nath have changed it and checked the oil with a magnet.
Im glad to hear your knee is on the mend even though you have been promoted to Chief dog walker lol....
      Best regards Stefano

@@christga100 we do 75km a day from home to the man cave - without thinking about economic driving - we adverse about 55 mpg - really really trying 70 😎 mpg (UK mpg - we work it out as it’s the one we best understand)

@@christga100 good point - also the multijet is in so many vans at around the 100hp a simple remap would probably give better fuel economy ( and go like stink ) plus it’s got a timing chain not belts, cracking engine in my humble !

We are in Portugal, so got fleeced for 8K (euro) but the mpg is nuts - thrash the living daylights out of it and you get 55 - we did a fuel challenge and got 80 ! easy driving style will get you 60 all day long, brilliant engine
