I've never seen a reality show contestant which has a good heart like you... you always advocate love and hope which is so inspiring :) keep up the good work man! happy new year!
I moved to a school where one child in our grade was deaf. Everyone knew sign language but me when I first got there. I ended up learning ASL in just a few months, just naturally. We all learned to communicate with one awesome lovely student. Our teachers would say "no talking ... And no signing!" I still secretly sign some words discreetly when I'm displeased still. LMAO. I also taught my kids.:)
I work with students with autism. ASL is a great way to help them communicate without using their voice. I keep learning from them. Eventually they know two languages and it helps us understand them clearly when they sign and use their voices. ASL is amazing for all people. Everyone needs to learn.
💜 this. my daughter is deaf, she's about your age now. but when she was identified I was terrified and confused. ASL is a beautiful language-not pidgin language like some people think.
Hallow33n Luv! what do you mean "not pidgin language"? I sign pidgin (I'm hearing, I just took classes) and I'm confused as to what you're trying to say. I believe all forms of signing are beautiful as they're a form of expression.
Right, she's saying that Pidgin Sign Language is not a language like ASL is. PSE is an abomination on the Deaf community.
Preference of their choice, please respect each other's wishes for their Deaf children to have the best education as possible as they can provide. All sign languages even foreign ones such as Iranian, Singapore, Japanese and British, etc. are beautiful, existing form of each demographic where Deaf people live. It is fun when it comes to traveling out of USA and try experience meet Deaf people out there and you will be amazed how similar yours and theirs, sure easily understand each other also included face expression and body language. Great human interaction right there, enough to enrich your understanding on how important sign languages to them and you'll overcome stigma of some kind toward Deaf culture, just be supportive and encourage all to use their mothers' sign language teach the Deaf infants as first language before speaking language.
@@viic8417 ASL is a full-blown language with native speakers. A pidgin is a mish-mash of words/signs that has no native speakers and is very unstable in terms of grammar and vocabulary. It's not a language per se but rather an artificial method of communication between two groups who don't speak the same language. However, the human brain can take a pidgin, make it regular and give it a set grammar in one generation if enough children learn the pidgin as a native language. Once this happens, the pidgin becomes a creole, which is a mix of languages, that has a set grammar and vocabulary. ASL is a full-on language like English, Arabic, Mandarin or Swahili.
@@Nehmi Great descriptions!
I have 2 amazing successful adult children who happen to be profoundly deaf. Nothing stops them from reaching their goals I could not be more proud to be their mother. Sometimes it was not easy but they were stronger for the challenges.
Oh my Nyle! This is such a beautiful message of hope and love to hearing parents with deaf angels. You are a great Angel Advocate! I'm a proud supporter of this charity, just like I am of al the disabled communities. God Bless you all!!
those are some good genes
Thank you for the video. I almost lose hope when I found out that my son is deaf. Yes, he is the first deaf person I've ever met. But now, I am more positive and believe that he can achieve more because we will try our best to support him in whatever he wanna do in the future. Thanks nyle dimarco and all the best for you future undertaking.
Nyle I'm so proud of you-you really are making a difference
Who are the 25 heartless jerks that disliked this? I hope they find a kinder personality someday.
They are miserable people who lack compassion or self-esteem. Leaving thumbs- down is the only power they feel. Jealous of others' achievements.
Probably disgruntled parents and CEOs of hearing aids manufacturers that afflilated with Alexander Graham Bell's "controlling" philosophy on Deaf people and children's lives.
I think some people get pay to dislike videos
You're such a guy with a big heart! You're such an inspiration
Such a positive, supportive video! I wish my parents would have had support like this when my brother lost his hearing so many years ago. Thank you, Nyle. You're doing good work.

You’re truly genuinely amazing I hope you know this.
Nyle love postive message.
I have lots of friends that are deaf. all great people. miss them
I am always also encouraging my speaking friends about teaching sign to their hearing children especially as babies as they can learn this as their first language faster than Learning the spoken word. It will help them to understand and communicate better with themselves and many different cultures that use sign language
Nyle amazing person.represent deaf community.

This is a highly informative video. Creating a language rich environment for your child is imperative to development and bilingualism. Love it. I hope you can show examples of what this looks like to help parents further.

n inspiration, matey. Gorgeous! Come to the UK and help us get the word out about the deaf community here!
I'm deaf and some people just want to laughter at deaf people cause were not normal like them
alexia taylor It's completely normal to be deaf. They are just rude
My cousin is partially deaf and dumb since birth but she has excelled in studies more than normal students with no disabilities.

The voice you have is changing
Hi Nyle I love you I miss you
Is this his same voice from ANTM? I also read this as him having a child. I wonder how his app is going I wanted to pick it up.
😍😍nyle te amo 🤟🏼
Hi Nyle!!❤️😊
Nyle
I’m curious as to what your take is on Andrew Solomon’s prediction in his book, Far From the Tree, that ASL snd Deaf culture will become extinct due to medical advances eradicating deafness in the future?
me encanta nyle es hermoso
Si estoy de acuerdo
im a simple woman i see nyle dimarco i click play
me too
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Many hearing people are not aware that for infants identified as deaf - living in a supportive environment - responsive signing often begins much earlier than typical spoken speech. It is not unusual to see deaf children under one year old articulating specific requests for food and other things.
2:14 that whip tho
I love u too❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I'm really curious what his voice sounds like
I have always wondered how to raise a baby and child that is deaf
Nyle
I was listening to dimensional music and how the sound was going from left to right, then I thought ,whoa..
Deaf people cant really enjoy music unless they are holding a Balloon to feel the vibration coming from the balloon. But another good question that I have: can deaf people pick up on voice vibrations from a balloon also that they can sing along.
I'm deaf. Well my mom know bit of sign language. When I was six months old I got sick. I have higher fever. Then I became deaf. Well like Helen Keller not really much I'm not blind. When I became deaf I was so wild and crazy. That I became deaf.
Does anyone use SEE signing exact English ?
❤❤❤
❤️😍
I have single side deafness and a Cochlea Implant
y 10 year old daughter is hard of hearing (deaf in one ear and hearing aid in other one but she will lose all her hearing. I'm struggling to learn asl and I don't spell good I'm scared that I'm going to wake up one day and not be able to communicate with my daughter...... I'm really in a bad place with this
How can I slow down his videos? Where do I click? He signs way way way to fast for me to notice, see, recognize, and remember/learn. Probably won't learn sign language having only one arm top to fingertips that's fully capable but at least I would like to know by seeing. Anyways, anybody knows how to turn on slow motion?
Click on the gear/settings icon at the bottom right of the screen. There is an option called "Speed". You can then set it to anything less than 1 for slow motion. So helpful for ASL!
Nyle Dimarco my baby i love you 💖 💖 💖 💖 💖
It's a nice video! But I feel like this option you gave out is very stereotypical for every deaf person with hearing parents. I was born with bilateral profound hearing loss to hearing parents, and I received my first cochlear implant at age 3 1/2 in 1997. My parents decided not to teach me ASL because my parents knew I want to speak (or to imitate their mouths) with everyone and not feel isolated from them. Growing up in NYC, I rarely see ASL in public. Now as a graduated student with bilateral cochlear implants, I am able to verbally communicate with everyone without hassle! I HATE when someone assumes that I sign because of my hearing loss. It's exactly like a stranger asking my Korean-American friend if he speaks Chinese.
I didn't realize that this video was from 2016....somehow it popped in my feeds!
I only clicked on it cause I thought he had a child or something 😂😂😂
😍
This man is so.handsome...
I sometimes forget that Nyle is deaf and not just mute.
Pray to Jesus, he will open your eyes and ears definitely, only he can do it, praise the Lord Amen
I see Nyle DiMarco as a future husband, just saying
I could not even watch the whole video... I started to feel dizzy when I tried to concentrate on the sign language. Its good your giving deaf children a role model though.
