How can you not be proud of the stuff that was made in the US in 60 70s and 80s.
Films like this are so friggin’ cool and need to be preserved for future generations. Man, will you listen to that music?! Actually played by actual musicians, not just plugged in by one guy at a DAWS.
This is when American companies build real tractors right here in the United States a bygone era of when things were really made.
Wow how cool, I was hired right out of high school in 1975 with a bunch of my buddy’s to drive tractor at the AC proving grounds. Larry Grunberger was the head engineer out there, the coolest place in the world for a kid that like engines and machinery to work.
I met Larry this year at the Orange Spectacular, nice guy to talk with. Lots of stories
This has my Dad and Grandpa in itand our dealer Harold Marzolf in Spring Valley Minnesota
I used to drive past the dealership on my milk route.
A nostalgic look at the plant I worked at, in the same era. The engineering and manufacturing manager that never really got along, LOL. We pioneered the isolated cab system and the first mfg to mount the cab right on the assembly line. The plant was a primary powertrain plant, ALL machining and assembly of powertrain components in house.
How long did you work at the plant?
@@JandLVideos 18 years, then moved on to the Lift Truck plant in Matteson IL. All totaled 25 years for "Allis". Was very fortunate. My fellow work friends thought that I would bleed orange if ever cut.
Allis Chalmers things of beauty
Beautiful!
great video. at the 5:15 mark the guy is pointing to the fuel filter as if that's the trouble.
Go West Allis 🎉
Was this music commissioned by Allis Chalmers?
No, they used stock music from De Wolfe for this I've actually tracked most of them down they used in this on the web site, here's the first one: www.dewolfemusic.com/trackdetail.php#!/?id=11769764&code=zSzCnG
2:03 that looks like a diamond reo truck
For as entertaining as these videos are ,it’s also very depressing to see how much we have lost ,not just AC ,but many thousands of great American manufacturing . It’s gone forever . Now you buy your Kubota or JD and ride on Chinese manufactured parts. Unbelievable. I bought a D17 series 4 Diesel ,I cherish that tractor , gives you a taste of What once was .
That 1 ton pickup says its 1973.
Now everything is just crappy plastic stuff. 🤦♂️
