No matter where an old once glorious building is located, it always makes my heart burst with joy to see them saved while being respected of it's former glory & loved once again! Hopefully saved from ruin for another 200+ years at least. Kuddos to anyone & everyone who is able & willing to save architectural historical buildings around the world.

Consider wearing respiratory and eye protection when pressure washing mold. Protect yourself from breathing in or ingesting particles containg mold. And protect your eyes from injury or infection.

Yes. And actually you use a dilution of muriatic acid and water. A good respirator is a must. Without the avid, the mold comes right back. Best to paint it as well.

@bina nocht best thing is a dilution of muriatic acid to pressure wash brick. Painters do this before painting to kill algae before painting.

Renovation is the correct word because they do not come close to restoring those old houses. It is really sad that no one has the money to really restore what is left of these buildings to something close to the original state. With all of our power tools and easier to work with materials they still cannot match the craftsmanship of the original builders.

Considering also the financial break they are getting, sometimes its best to not say everything that comes to mind. There are people who have actual vision of what will be & those, without. If it takes lack of sleep, that's what it will take. Not a woman who seems to give her word lightly , she seems to have a grip on all the realities.
