You could do climbing rose / jasmine / wisteria. If you are open to suggestions ; could do raised beds along the fence on both ways for planting shrubs / perennials/ annual flowers.

Alex your style is so nice, I love the simplicity and just how so put together your outfits are without too much fuss. That dress is beautiful and the sage greens are definitely your color. I look forward to the progress in your garden. I think burgundy and plum perannuals, and shrubs and fall trees for Autumn color would be great to see every fall. It would stand out alot with a variation of greens in your land scape. And than of course a variety of flowers in your favorite colors! That meal at the end looked so good, but than all of them do!

I agree with disguising the fence but keep in mind the maintenance for the fence. Try and invest in perennials. You can pot them for a year or two until you come up with a place to plant them in the ground. I've had to pot a lot. I have some issues here to consider. Firstly, deer that can jump 7.5' fencing from a standstill. Needless to say, I have to plant plants that they don't munch on and there are a lot. A rose garden is but a dream. They are very brazen and will come up to our front door!!!!! They might as well ring the doorbell! Rabbits are another wildlife problem, but they are cute. Then I have the three "R's", rotten soil, roots & rocks. Lastly watering in the summer as we live off a well. If we have a drought, everything can go to pot (no pun intended). Best of luck you have some lovely garden centers. Things can be done on a budget. I've picked up bits and pieces from the Clearence section that with TLC have flourished. Living off a pension has taught me not to buy on impulse. Can't wait to follow your gardening journey and see the results.

Your garden is a lovely blank canvas and your ideas already sound great. One tip i would say is assess the sunlight and shade areas of your garden throughout the day in summer and also in the winter as this changes with the position of the sun, then get plants according to sun, shade etc. A good mixture of perennial plants and annuals to bridge any gaps as the garden evolves and grows. Good place to check for garden furniture is John Lewis, West Elm, Dunelm, Cox and Cox, Danetti and Garden Centres to name a few but all vary in price etc and can be expensive but see what suits your style best 🤍

Hello dear Alex, I'm working in garden restructurations and if you want some advices I will write it in french it's easier for me : tu as un gros potentiel avec ton terrain, grand et bien exposé ( sud ?). Sur les côtés de la terrasse tu peux planter des arbustes persistants pour protéger ta vue du voisinage, de plus cela peut te protéger du vent . Encadrer ta terrasse avec des plantes maximum 70 cm ce qui apporte depuis ta maison une jolie vue végétalisée tout en ayant un aperçu sur ton terrain ( avec une ou deux ouvertures d'accès pour toi , ton mari et les doggies). Choisis des plantes persistantes et résistantes qui nécessitent peu d'entretien car tu es déjà très occupée avec ton travail. Ton idée de plante grimpante est super si c'est sur le mur de ta maison attention au choix, certaines peuvent abimer la façade, prend plutôt une variété qui s'accroche au mur avec un support fixe ( filet métallique) . Attention aussi au choix des grimpantes très mellifères elles attirent beaucoup d'abeilles ( donc attention aux personnes allergiques ou aux animaux 😊). N'oublie pas vos magnifiques rosiers anglais que j'adore ❤️ tu peux installer un coin aromatiques près de ta cuisine c'est tellement pratique et génial de pouvoir cueillir ses aromates à volonté. Si tu aimes un côté romantique pour ton mobilier j'avais commandé en UK un salon de jardin de la marque Lazy Suzan, absolument fantastique et ça fait 20 ans que je l'ai et il n'a pas changé. Pour une touche discrète exotique et adapté à ton climat : un palmier trachycarpus Fortuneï, très joli s'adapte à tous les styles et résistant. Je suis française mais j'ai un jardin de type anglais, j'adore ❤️ bises de France Morgane
I agree about sections in the garden and I think I would cut your herbaceous borders in and trees planted and shrubs and think where you want sitting areas and go from there. A sitting area at the bottom of the garden would be good around a fire pit. Vegetable and herb area.

Polywood outdoor furniture is amazing (if you have it in the UK). It is nearly indestructible…you will never have to stain or refinish it like you would normal wood, color will not fade, and you can leave it out all year round without issue. We leave our Polywood furniture outside even through the winter (it gets really cold and snowy in the Northeastern U.S.). Highly recommend.
I loved this particular Hall.. I like simple paired back but put together.. climbing roses would look good on your wall the little miniature climbing roses 🌹 or basically any type of climbing roses.

So lovely where you live. 🥰 Collecting ideas and pinning them on a board, then making a plan saves a lot of time & expense... my tiny balcony is very cute. It's lots of work and still pricy to do, ... but worth it. That's a wonderful space you have; it will be great. 🌸

I have just been on holiday and they had a beautiful jasmine semicircular pegoda like arch which looked gorgeous and we kept on getting a wiff of the stunning fragrance/ it would be beautiful in your garden ! 😊

Another few gardening tips:
Pick something you really love (i.e.: Hollyhocks) that come in various colours. In other words, try to specialize on a plant though choice of plants makes it hard not to deviate. Buy some wooden lollypop sticks (cheap) and mark what you have planted and the colour. Lastly, I don't know any more about the UK but over here they sell plants in really pretty plastic pots. Some are, YSL Blue, baby pink, spring yellow, lavender, hot pink and sage to mention a few. Don't be too hasty to chuck them. Putting a vase inside them with bought blooms or blooms from the garden make great table decorations. If you hate the colour of the plastic pots, you can always spray them with a paint/colour of your choice.
Oh, I do have a vibe for Hollyhocks along your fence. You might want to paint the fence white?

Hi Alexx, ❤ your videos. I’m a gardener and may I suggest you paint or stain your fences black or dark charcoal. They would then disappear into background and any planting would pop against the dark colour. I’ve done this and it’s looks very professional and gorgeous. 👩🌾🏡💕

Yeah I was thinking a wisteria, the flower is pretty, it will contrast with the house, and I don’t know but being from America I feel Wisteria on houses is quintessentially British 😅

Every time I see you in your own or someone’s vlogs Im so mesmerized with how gorgeous you are. You are soo pretty! ❤ I agree with everyone with adding the climbing flowers, wisteria etc, but wanted to suggest maybe an extension from your bedroom of a balcony. 🤩 Especially since you removed that fence! Brilliant idea by the way. The balcony can also serve as a covered outdoor patio for days you may want to be outside and it’s raining, or for your outdoor seating or table. I love my pool…put a pool in! 😁😆

Alex that is a large garden space ' just a suggestion. You could ask the gardener who maintains Leonora's gardens - she has featured him in her vlogs as I am sure you know & is obvs very talented - the different areas of her gardens are stunning.
A gardener is definitely an option however I live a good 2 hours from Leonora so unfortunately using the same one would not be possible ☺️
