and how much do we pay Adams? He has 3 years left on a 5 year, $140M contract - who pays for that? Hold Aiyuk to his contract this season, franchise tag him next season - we have him for the next 2 years and his salary doesn't change.
@@teridumbrigue7643 Adams has no guaranteed money after this year and by next year, hopefully Pearsall has developed to a point he can be that guy. But we draft and develop in the mean time. If Adams is still near his peak he's a top 3 receiver for less than Aiyuk is asking

Aiyuk is a team player and, yes, he blocks...but I can't remember ever seeing him run away from a defender...he has to have a large lead or he gets caught, he has no break away speed.
It’s a distraction from development of the team. Drama does not help the team get ready for the season. It does not make BA play any better. In fact it hurts his readiness for the season. Strains relationships. Drama is not good at all
This is the dumbest argument on the face of the planet when it comes to professional athletes. He's already earned enough money for his family to live better than 95% of Americans for generations if he properly manages it.
BA is having an issue with the team that drafted him to be a star, he wasn't ready, had to put in work AND DID, arrived at a point where he feels that what he put in he should be compensated for. Problem is he's gotten to big on what his worth is to the team. We have Deebo, Kittle, CMC, an all pro fullback, 2 rookie wides itchin for the snaps he would get, and a coach that can dial up greatness on a whim! Not to mention a defense that makes other teams look like high-school playin the pros. I would hate to lose him but with all that we don't NEED him! Periodt!
This is really stupid. Really shows the immaturity of BA...if he is traded and never gets a ring, he will regret this shit in 10 years. How many great players would trade a few million career earnings for a Super Bowl victory? Too many players are short-sighted.
That’s a crazy good point in all of this. What legacy does he want. He will make world changing money no matter what. Rings, however, are more special than anything
There are some things in life that we have no control over. Asking each other "what if" or what should be done is just gossip. It's best to let things unfold as they will. I can't believe so much is said over this. I have been a true 49ers fan for 40 years, and throughout the years, they (the 49ers) have never asked for my opinion, which simply says that it does not matter what I think.
BA has a entire year left on his contract and The push and drama coming from him seems premature. Show us what you can do this year. Elite money? Very good money? I can't see him being anything less than very good. But I am biased. BA for the next 5+ years makes us very strong.
I agree! I think it’s because if you don’t sign him now, you have the risk of being forced to use your franchise tag on him or lose him on a free which would be devastating
Tired of the extra drama with him especially still being on contract he was happy when 49ers drafted him need to stay humble and respect the Organization!!
The 49ers have him in a huge way! He’s contracted for one more year at 14 million. And if they wanted to, they could franchise tag him next year and even the year after that, so trust me Brandon now is not going anywhere.
my personal opinion DONT RENEW BA Contract because if the 1st end receiver and the other turn out be great players we screwed up because we need renew defensive player contracts .keep BA 5th term franchise tag next yr trade him .u get in a big contract for 30 plus million which BA not worth because we have multiple weapons .Can't afford pay him at all .
Honestly a little annoyed by the Aiyuk thing but I think you’d be foolish to expect any different behavior from a top shelf receiver so it’s not exactly unexpected. Hopefully he understands that paying him was not the top priority this offseason. Paying CMC was. Nor will paying him be the top priority next offseason either because we will have Brock Purdy to pay. So if he thinks that we should shovel out 30 mil for the #2 option on the offense then yeah, maybe he should go look to play for the storied franchise of the Washington Commanders…. Because clearly, winning a Superbowl is not his top priority so playing for a team like that would fit him perfectly because they sure as hell won’t be playing for one anytime soon. 😁😁
If the 49ers let him play out his 5th year and then franchise him twice he'd cost them less than 24m a season for those 3 seasons. Why on earth would they pay him 30+? It just doesn't make any sense for the team financially. They have determined making BA happy was worth about 2.5m a season and offered him 26 and change. He's not getting the 30m+ payday he's looking for, least not this year and likely not next. If I'm the 49ers I re-offer the 26m again and let him know there's a time limit on that deal and once it's expired they are done negotiating with him period and intend to let him play out his 5th and franchise tag twice and then give him 7 days to stew on it.
Way over it. BA has been teched by Social Media. Don't even feed in to that. Bottom line BA signed a contract for X amount of $$. Keep your word dude. 9 ers got you by the cahones and still have the franchise tag option. Bite the bullet and take one for the team bro. Stop the drama and get to work. You have a great ring opportunity. Purdy if anyone could make a stink but he is a team player. Buck up and just do it.
People do you not remember how it went with the other big names on our team. Samuals was a quiet player. Bosa was because he knows he’s the best. But when did he sign. All this stuff your barking out here is what you believe in your head. Pay attention. All of our drafted player will get signed either during camp or right before the real games start. Kittle didn’t sign till when. All this stuff you’re reguritating is just your hope of building a channel. This is how the Niners do it with the players they have drafted. History is repeating itself. Wake up. Jennings resigned quietly? Really? Come on man.

Aiyuk is only getting numbers because deebo draws doubles. When deebo was out BA wasn't on shįt. He is not a top tier receiver. Everyone will see when he gets moved
@@SportsTalkSanFrancisco yes my feeling is they're gonna go more towards a traditional shotgun offense (more similar to the Shanahan Falcons era). The offensive players now are essentially setup for a ground and pound yac attack stemming from our QB short comings over the years past. It's clearly time to lean on Purdy and build around his strengths. Finally we have a franchise QB. I think Aiyuk plays the Julio Jones and Pearsall the Calvin Ridley in a more pass centric attack. Of course the outside zone will still be a staple, but that's my feeling. For example, in the SB, instead of that last play with pulling guards etc (designed to win by design), just allow Purdy to run a basic shotgun play and let him make the right read, we would've scored a TD... Shanahan was too locked into his playbook made to protect a QB not let the QB win. Can't blame shanahan, he hasn't had Purdy long.
