Can we just take a moment to appreciate how T90 is somehow getting even better at casting?
His skill at uplifting those around him and making them feel comfortable while being professional with the game itself is beyond impressive.
So grateful for this guy to be a part of the AOE2 community.
I think it's a combination of how Dash is very experienced at keeping the discussion going (he was the host of the analyst desk for LCS) and the fact that T90 knows that he is much more skilled at the game than Dash, which will naturally make him feel confident and authoritative. It's a good mixture

Dash is confirmed caster for NAC, but the cast duos will be(AFAIK) Dave + T90 and Nili + Dash.
When and what is NAC
@@wesleyv5934 Nili's Apartment Cup IV - March 11-19 according to Liquipedia. It's an S-tier Lan tournament in Germany. Previously it was played in Nili's appartment for real, but this time it'll be in some convention centre or something. I'm actually really hyped for it, because Lan tournaments are few and far between, but they always are super fun.
Dash has come thru and done AOE stuff from time to time for years!

Yeah, ever since he got let go from Riot, glad to see him back! I remember when he first casted with T90 a little while ago it made me like him that much more
I've been waiting all day for this (UK). I'm on holiday this week, so each of these finals matches has been amazing to watch. Each set has been truly phenomenal from the players. The standard is immense, no longer are we just waiting for a final that viper will walk as we did years ago. Each quarter, and semis have been so close. I am about to watch this one and am so excited. Tatoh was sensational in his quarter, and unlike Jordan i think could just beat the snake!
Whoever wins this one, the final is going to be meg! Can't wait to pop open a beer and watch that one tomorrow!

I love that it was a GL semifinal and an AM semifinal. Guaranteeing a GL vs AM final. Loved the quality of play throughout the whole series. It just gets better and better too!

I've been watching tourneys for like 5 years now and I have to say that the level has never been that high. The Top15 is just doing things I deemed miraculous. The plays, the timing, the synch, the multitasking, it's just like they're aliens.
You look at the length and expect it to go to Game 7. Then you see the length of Game 2. LOL

Yeah that was really entertaining to watch. What a crazy long battle. This old game is a great RTS PvP game. The hero treb in the mid game (on the left side) of Viper should have earned some medals.^^

What civs were picked and for which map and what the mindgames might be is pretty interesting to me.
For example: What would you think if tatoh switched burgundians to fortified clearing and gujaras to ghost lake?

Burgundian Vinyard farms vs Relics.
A well placed, fully upgraded, farm will generate 1 gold per minute.
A relic will generate 30 gold per minute.
Meaning you'd need 30 farms to march a 1 relic difference. Or about ~40 farms when you factor in farm placement inefficiencies.
@@shanerooney7288 i was actually wondering that. so Tatoh had basically 2-3 extra worth of relics during that. doesn't really seem worth it (although im not sure of the cost)

The tech is 300 Gold, 400 Food.
Since they kept selling food, we'll ignore that cost.
Time to break even...
1 relic = 10 minutes
2 relics= 5 minutes
3 relics = 3 min 20 sec
So I'm quite confident it more than earned its cost.
has anyone done a tournament where you pick your opponents civ? Would be kinda funny to have a battle of the bad.
I also want to see where you have to play the same civ on multiple maps, to benefit the generalist civs more. It'd be an interesting experiment
I’ve also seen some dm tourneys where each player picks 2 civs for each round and then the opponent gets first pick out of those 2 civs. So the person needs to pick equal/good match up civs. I thought it was an interesting idea
Regarding game 2: Notice how Viper banked a lot of food in the late game and only sold wood? He banked that food so that he could afford to lose farmers to raids. Losing some farmers opened up pop space for more trash units, and he had enough food to replace the farmers. Brilliant play.
I miss hearing Dash on the lcs. I hope he continues to see co coms going forward on aoe channels. Dash is amazing and with time I know he will be just as amazing with aoe as he is with league.
This series went exactly how I expected with how the Viper is playing and seeing a GL and AM final... I'm excited for that! This series felt like one guy went next level Saiyan without the other guy even knowing it existed.
So many crazy moments in the whole set. Viper truly is something else.

2:24:05 Aren't arambai strong enough to break through unfinished gates? I had been thinking that Tatoh might be able to break through the quickwalls from Viper at some occasions, but maybe I was misjudging the situations there. Also at 2:22:31 there was a moment, when Viper had been building the stone gates, blocking the additional vills from Tatoh, coming to finish the castle. I thought that Tatoh could have sent his Arambai to stop that and complete that important castle. Anyhow, that was a great game on nomad! Also Viper showed lots of spanish strengthes there, from supremacy villagers to cannon galleons, that was incredible. Tatoh played a great match, but still he couldn't do anything with burmese to win it.
A little relic icon on the minimap in Capture Age would be cool, like the castles and TCs have.
We definitelt need a Keshik/vineyard script to see how much gold players earn with either!

I think tatoh should have went elite coustillier on Ghost Lake. He needed more punch and better mobility. Coustillier could have hunted down the cav archers if they went out roaming, sniped siege, and traded more gold-efficiently than the paladins ever did.
Seems like he was too late onto stone for coustillier production. He didn't even have a second castle until he was in Imp and already had a large cavalier army.
