I went to the Maldives last january /feb it's such a fantastic place I've travelled untold island in the Caribbean and I've seen some fantastic places but I must admit I would say the Maldives is in a class of it's own I would advise anybody to visit its stunning

Great video. I've been to the Maldives 5 times and 3 of them I've stayed are in the video list:- One and Only Reethi Rah, Baros and Gili Lankanfushi. The other 2 I've stayed were Meeru Island Resort and Paradise Island Resort. I agree that Gili is the most beautiful island resort in the Maldives and deserve the No.1 spot but it is very expensive though as a few nights costs me 1000s of GBP - however it was worth it. I like the look of Sovena Jani Resort so if I go again I might book into this resort
Meeru, Paradise are so far away ( in quality, concept, price...) from One and Only Reethi Rah, Baros or Gili Lankanfushi. The last 3 ones are really Luxury Resorts, they are radically different. Soneva Jani is a pearl. I wish beautiful holidays wherever you go !
@@DreamingofMaldives Yes the last 3 are luxury resorts. Paradise is right next to Gili Lankanfushi. Meeru is far away from Male Airport, it is a good 1 hour on the speedboat but it is reasonably priced IMO. Soneva Jani is the next place I'm looking at for my 6th and next visit to the Maldives...if we can all survive The Virus

I still don't get the purpose of an artificial pool inside the houses when they have literally a paradise all around with natural and beautiful water.
They would like to give us all included so no complaints..haha lol
Resorts offer pools because people/travelers ask for them.
It is because the sea is salty and when you are at the sea th whole time, you wanns rinse your body into the warm pool and swim back to the sea the next day.
Coz no 🦈 in the inside pools... 😂

sconsiglio vivamente le isole Maldive con piscine ,strade asfaltate,centri di bellezza ,barriera corallina lontana ,costruzioni a due piani .fanno perdere tutto il sapore e lo spirito maldiviano che si apprezza solo con la semplicità .Non sarebbero più maldive ma un luogo che si troverebbe in qualunque posto di mare in europa .Stessa cosa dicasi per Seyscelles ,Polinesia ecc ecc

One problem with this survey. You have the larger hotels that cram more into a space and thus serve a larger audience, thus gaining more votes. While the smaller resorts that have a 100ft between villas that are incredible only have a smaller quantity of customers. For example, Soneva Fushi comes in at number 9, a place that if you want, you could spend the whole day without seeing a single person, and I don’t mean locked in your bedroom either. There is also an issue with the voters. You will have once in a lifetime tourists who will go to a relatively cramped resort and claim it’s the best in the world. Yet, they haven’t seen anywhere else. While those who travel to a fair number are not going to be voting on any particular web site. So it’s with a great pinch of salt. Great video for showing the different types of resorts and they’re all very good. Also, take advantage of the cheaper seasons. Due to ze global warming it’s no longer any guarantee. So snap up a big villa and pay half. Lastly, go to this place before 2050, it’s a sad fact that rising sea levels will obliterate most of these gems. It’s going to be a new world and my prayers go out to those who will be most affected. Anyway, make use of the time we have, let’s be honest, nothing lasts forever.........

Fly a drone in Maldives depends on local rules. There are proper laws + each resort decides on its own. Please contact resorts and ask them before chosing your Dream Island.

Six Senses Laamu has a huge lagoon + Snorkeling Reefs from the main bar until the resort sandbank with a giant wall to follow. 1 hour or so of pure delight. If you drift, it get faster.
