    Fiskars StaySharp Max Reel Mower czcams.com/users/postUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend This is what all push mowers should strive for. It was easy to push. It cut the lawn. The blades are sharp, very sharp. The one minus that everyone should be aware of is you need to be very careful taking the cutting unit out of the box. There’s a plastic guard so you don’t cut fingers as you take the main unit out of the box but it’s not taped down. As I took the unit out, I ended cutting a piece of my shirt. The plastic guard moved and my shirt touched one of the blades.

    Thanks for posting this! I'm torn between the Scag SFC 30" and the Ferris. I'm leaning towards the Ferris because of the pneumatic rear wheels, lever adjusted speed, and the simple reverse.
    Have you had any issues with the cut quality when mulching? I'm hoping to save time over my 21" Honda HRC216 that does an unreal job of mulching without having to go back over it with a blower.

    • @steadfastlawncare

      The hydro drive is super smooth and amazing. Once you use a hydro drive you will never want to use a belt drive again. Also these machines are very heavy so having the reverse is very nice so you’re not tired after mowing all day. The one major thing is dealer support in your area. Try them both out and see what suits your needs.

      Cut has been great with the mulch kit. I’ve used Honda 21in push mowers for many years and the power of this mower is great. Like any lawn cut it every week as if it gets too tall then you may have to double cut but that’s with any mower.

    I wish there was an upgrade from my Toro Timemaster but cheaper than the Ferris or Scag but is also a wide area walk behind. This is for my .65 acre lawn. My Timemaster is great but I desire a bigger gas tank and pneumatic tires and casters to reduce ruts from the tires. Yes, I alternate mowing direction every time I cut the lawn.

    • @steadfastlawncare
      @steadfastlawncare  Před rokem

      Thanks for watching. I’ll have a video coming out with me mowing 3/4 acres with this soon. The gas tank isn’t large but I’ve never run out on a job and just refill it each use. For the quality and what you get I think the mower is well worth the money when compared to the competition as this I would put in the category of the bigger wall behinds like the FW25 or FW35 but just a smaller deck. If you are just mowing your lawn maybe look at the Ferris ISX800 zero turn as the ride is very comfortable and will hopefully last you many years and save you so much time it will be worth paying a little extra for it.

    Looks like something Snapper would put out. I can see the quality in the build. I seriously wish people would invest in these type mowers and stop buying the cheap disposable lawn mowers we see along the road everyday. I had my first Snapper mower for 35 years before the engine gave out. Most big box stores sell cheap junk that doesn't hold up over time. Make sure you properly maintain that mower and it should last you for years and years.

    • @steadfastlawncare
      @steadfastlawncare  Před rokem +1

      Ferris makes the Snapper SW15 which is basically the same mower. For commercial work this will save you money and time over the years verses buying a small 21in every few years as those aren’t designed for the everyday use. This Ferris is built like a tank.

    Interesting machine but it appears that the bagging and mulching kits are optional for this machine. The bagging system looks kinda convoluted but it looks pretty cool. For a Briggs company it's using a Honda engine which I find hilarious.

      Most people just use the Accelerator bagging kit. I put a mulch kit on it and haven’t taken that off for two years. • @steadfastlawncare
      @steadfastlawncare  Před 9 měsíci +2

      @travisconner1581 Single hydro but it’s like a differential on a vehicle. You push your hands to one side and the hydros/gearing will automatically slow down one tire and speed up the other so you can turn. Hard to explain but if you turn to the right for example the right tire slows down and the left tire keeps going and vice verse. I don’t know the engineering behind it besides it’s super smooth like you’d expect from a hydro drive.

Nothing comes close to it in its class. Super smooth hydro drive with reverse, easy one handed operations, pneumatic tires, 10hp motor, and built like a tank. Just add an hour meter and oil drain hose. My go to is always a zero turn but this is great for gated backyards, hills, and when I need a light footprint when the yard is soaked.
