Beautiful car, and a great find! I remember we'd pile a matress in the back of my Dad's when I was a tiny child and take of for the Carolinas to visit family. It also made many trips into the Land Between the Lakes area in Western Ky, being used to go where most people would never dare to drive a car, let alone a station wagon!
Thanks for sharing your's with us!
I just bought a 62 two door wagon. Black with red and white interior. It shows great.
My
dad got one in 1962, it never broke down, 3 speed on the column,,,mercy.
Others are Pioneers and your the one and only Wagoneer.
Thanks for the ride. I had a white 1965 Falcon Squire back in the late '60s.It was just a car to me but could be a classic now. Life moved along and so did I. I never remember missing it, so long ago.
A little beauty. Best wishes.
It is now my lifelong dream to have a giant garage filled with nice old cars. First thing I want in it, is a 1962 Ford Falcon Delivery(my dad used to have one). But having a garage full of nice old cars is almost everyone's dream.
A beautiful example of an original. Good job on the clear and easy to understand narrating. Nice to see everything working. Gotta love that air conditioning!
Thank you for being the one person on youtube who hasn't hot rodded their falcon with a 460 Stroker or a 351w.
I learned how to drive stick on my dad's '62 Falcon wagon at 12.
This car is beautiful. I have a '63.5 Ranchero, and hopefully some day it'll look half as nice as your wagon!!
Ohhhhh, this is my dream car. I love Falcons. Beautiful!!!!
I Have a 62 four door wagon. deluxe trim package. painted in squire woodie theme. Its a head turner. We have fun with it
It's a very pretty little wagon! Enjoy her :-)
Spectacular car. If I had room. I'd like to have one. The white two tone addition is an excellent upgrade.
holy smokes...if i go to heaven...please let me live in my old 62 bstation wagon down on the port wing road...:-)...beautiful...
Congratualions from Argentina. ..

Thanks for showing your Falcon. I was actually born in the back of a new 1962 Red Ford Falcon Station Wagon. Apparantley I couldn't wait for my dad to make it to the hospital! LOL! Unfortunately my brother would total the Wagon in an accident later on in the '70's. :(
She is beautiful.
Thanks for the memories. My family had a '62. It was lime green with the wood grain on the sides. I believe my dad purchased it in '64 from the former Cohasset Motors in Cohasset, MA. The wagon had the chrome roof rack & was a "3 on the tree". Have one picture of it taken in the summer of '68. Keeping my eye out for a '61 to '66 :)
I miss my turquoise 63 and I'm from Indianapolis as well
My grandmother had one along with a falcon ranchero of the same year.
Wow, I love this car! I have had a few pics of it on my pc for ages - i downloaded them from somewhere when i was looking a paint jobs for my wagon. I have an Australian version of the 65 Falcon station wagon (referred to as the XP Falcon). The front is squared off, and rear taillights a litle different but everything else looks the same.
This is a Beautiful Ford!
Wow, beautiful, look good condition.
Ah memories I used to sell these in Australia, this model the 2nd release out there was called the XL model had a different grille than yours;
Interesting video
Thanks
very nice i drive a 64 falcon 4 door everyday love them
great car! Here in Portugal there's one exactly like yours and are asking 10k euros. I was one of the interested buyers until my 66 Mustang with the same sowing machine in it came along.
Congratulations
the red and white roof with white body line kinda reminds me of a abulance lol haha nice car i got a 62 sedan myself
Good video
..Nice car!..I would prefer the rubber mats in the floor as well..the red with the white top looks good to me, but personally, I wouldn't have done the white on the sides..just doesn't look quite right to me..but it's your car.. :)
A VERY sweet little Falcon! I'm glad you're keeping her stock. By the way, wasn't the 170 an optional engine? I think the standard six was 144 cubic inches for the Falcon. Also, that engine introduced thinwall casting techniques for an OHV straight six. I had a bright red '66 Rambler American 220 station wagon as my first car. Now I drive a rust-free low mileage '69 Corvair Monza sport coupe, one of the last Corvairs ever made. I love these old cars. Enjoy yours...it's really nice!!
Very rare car
Nice wagon how it does wen u turn on hi speed I'm fixing one 62 4 door goin to customize color
there is a 64 sitting out in my woods in pretty rough shape but hopefully i can get it running some day
those tailights are the shit!!
@78Revolutions
LOL yeah you saved this car. It's sad that people don't appreciate these old school 6 cylinders. Yeah, they aren't as fast as V8s, but the V8s of the 60s can't hold a candle to the V8s of today, so what's the point? I'd rather have a reliable car that gets good gas mileage than a car that sits in my garage on jack stands for months on end. I'm keeping my 66 mustang a 6, and I laugh at all the people who say "Hey man drop a big block in that thing and you can run 11s".
Hey man I was wondering where I could purchase the gas cap for the station wagon from 62. I have recently acquired one that is the same color as yours so if you could help me in my search it would mean a lot!
Im thinking of buying this same car, but standard transmission. Has the red carpet throughout and red/white leather seats. Otherwise same as yours. Trying to determine if the $7800 asking price for $83K miles is good. Very clean, no rust. Do you have any input about value?
Not a fan of the two tone but I really like the cat!
Hey Justin.
Your '62 Falcon is one of the coolest Falcons on CZcams after my opinion and i wondered if you may would make some more vids of the car driving.
Erling.
I have a '62 four door sedan with the original 144 but it gutless on the freeway. -_- Something needs to change unless I want to floor it all the time. I love that car though. =D
So cute ^_^
nice car....
How did they put 3 point seat belts in? I can't find a way to do it to my ranchero
+stuco dude I love this car sooooo much I've got a 63 ranchero. Make a video of the engine running.
what master cylinder did u use on your conversion and what other parts were needed for upgrade i have a 62 sports futura 2dr and wanted to do the same
NIce car. I would drive that daily very nice video...What kind of gas mileage does it get?
so cars good on long trips i have a 62 futura 170 special 2 spd auto i live in california wanted to drive it to my parents in az what do u think its about 350 360 miles away
cool, couldnt quite hear it though.
Not so keen on the black ones shape.
I love the falcons shape, have u seen the south american versions on youtube? they look cool.
I saw a right hand drive ford fairlane for sale recently for here in UK, lovely, was a 6 cylinder.
Got a 65 Ranchero that we saved from a moron that wanted to let the car fold in half (Floor rusting out) we replaced the floor and did the rest of the bodywork and ive made a respectable car out of it and its only gona improve. It was my first car and i hope to own it as long as i live, wouldnt trade it in for anything. I hope sometime within the next two years itll look as beautiful as yours. (its a 170 as well and that moter runs like a madman) do you happen to know what gear ratio yours has?
I wish I saw this when it was first posted! What did it end up selling for?
The first Mustangs stole a lot from the Falcon parts bins... Mustang guys dont like to admit to that
i tried getting my 62 comet (the sister to falcons) up to 75 and i ended up destroying my 2 speed automatic tranny. ended up paying $900 for an overhaul and now i wont even try going faster than 65 haha
I like you "purist" attitude.
My Dad bought one which was moss green with standard shift and am radio. Ran awesome but was rusting out when 2 years old (New England). He traded for a 1964 which was not anywhere near as good of a car.
i just got a 1962 ford falcon ranchero futura with a 170 straight six all origional with 32,606 miles it is in very good condition cranks right up and all it needs is a few holes patched , reupholstery, and new paint if your interested look at it on my channel and comment if you like wish me luck
That's an awesome wagon. It would look great with some cheaply done flame paint on the front, some 20-inch chrome wheels, a ridiculously large blow sticking out of the hood, and a wheely bar sticking off of the rear bumper....Just kidding.
Thank God!
Check out my 63 1/2 ranchero at thatladycarguy_trucktuesday#9 I think you'll like it, Dave
oh yeah not for sale
