- This seemed like a simple trick to me, but I still come across many people who don't know about it (and I recall not knowing about it once upon a time too!). In less than 5 minutes time, you'll be in the know too.
I hope you enjoy the session and learn something new! Feel free to comment any feedback/questions below, or follow my channel if you enjoyed this.

I idolize your skills in Revit and Dynamo programming dude! 👍I hope your future is bright!
Thanks Brian!
Nice Tip - Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Gavin, the option for two Emissive Lenses, with values on a Day/Night Switch, Global Parameter, and two lenses swopped out . Its a whole project solution, with inherent issues with instances.
Thanks Pierre, I'm actually considering global parameters or Dynamo as an option also to batch swap lens materials.
@@AussieBIMGuru The dynamo is better ? Because you could set the time responses, and the exports done to image files as part of the deal. But, as we said previously some simple steps need to be retained because you forget how when there are too many automations. Haha
Dynamo is probably better, but not all users know how to use it.
Gavin, fair response. That's why I like the Global parameters, I think we do not use them enough. I'm not entirely sure what the performance impact is with Globals. Another thing may be that Player could have slider bars to allow seasons, months, time of day and light levels. That would allow users to have a snap-shot utility. Another opportunity for someone to do....
short n sweet👍
Thanks!
You are a life saver
Glad it helped!
Thank you! This helps a lot!
You're welcome!
Such a great quality content...
Thanks Marwan!
thank you!!
You're welcome!
The tutorial was great! Short and easy to understand.
I have a doubt: For some reason Enscape is not rendering artificial lights 'ON' during daytime in my project. Please help with a solution.
Could be a variety of reasons, most are discussed in depth here; forum.enscape3d.com/index.php?thread/115-lights-are-off-during-day-and-that-s-a-problem/
@@AussieBIMGuru Thank you :) I'll check it out
3:08 - 3:38 the audio works but the video freezes. Correct me if I am wrong but could you do a visibility parameter to turn on/off the material for day/night modes? This may require having two lenses, each with a different material.
Yeah my webcam does that sometimes. Hoping to move onto an eos m50 next year.
You could use a visibility parameter set with 3 lenses (on/off/night), would just require triple modelling.
I'm current exploring another option which is associating global parameters to the lens material instead.
@@AussieBIMGuru I haven't really used global parameters. Why would that be the option?
@@charlesball9522 ease of control, can associate to instance controls for all lights if assigned correctly. I'l make a video for it late november.
Excellent !!!question, I tend to see in Revit "grey colors
whether its plaster or paint, come out brownish in enscape. It doesn't matter if its interior rendering or exterior. Is there a work around solution?
I believe this would come down to one of three things:
1. The warmth of the scene, and colour of the sun in enscape settings
2. The colour of artificial lights
3. The colour of surrounding objects that reflect light
Greys are usually light enough that they naturally pick up a bit of adjacent colour (this is how real lighting works), but if its too extreme try either reducing warmth in enscape and/or the saturation of surrounding materials.
Hello Mate, Im willing to pay you for service. I have tried everything you had mentioned. Grey colors light or dark shade comes out in brown. I'm doing an interior rendering in escape and the toilet partitions are all brown.
@@user-xc4eh4kp9n id say try the enscape forums - theyre a helpful bunch and their advice is free!
Great video...I have the opposite problem lol. My lights look like they're on but they don't illuminate anything below them.
Sounds strange, make sure the light isn't stuck inside a shape.
Hello sir, Love from India. I want to know specifications of your pc or laptop. And I want to buy new laptop for Revit and Lumion . So please suggest or tell me your preference for buying new laptop.. kindly reply sir. Thank you
Hi Manesh. My setup is in my video description. I use a high end spec which us quite expensive, but check out Joseph Kim's channel where he reviews hardware for AEC.

heeei. But how to make a halo around the light source like in 3dsmax renderings ....is that possible?
Not 100% sure what you mean by the halo. If its a glow that it casts on adjacent surfaces typically this would be driven by the IES profile.
@@AussieBIMGuru Yes but to glow from the light source to the surface ..
and between them.
Between them isn't possible as it isn't realistic (light shafts etc). This only occurs in real life as light catches particles in the air like dust i believe so revit cannot do this. Most people add this in post production. Surface light is all related to the ies file you use.
@@AussieBIMGuru ok, thanks .I was a bit scared because I noticed that the renderings in revit don't look as realistic as those from 3dsmax .I thought it was because of the lights :]].
@@danysasha7994 3dsmax is a more dedicated rendering platform, but takes more setup vs enscape. Maybe look into vray for revit alternatively?
