The pre-order for the denim collection started in Singapore on the 2nd week of Dec. I liked the pink denim nano originally, till I realised there was a blue version. Unfortunately I was told it was only available in China. Thereafter I reconsidered ordering the pink denim nano - and gave up cos I believe the pink denim may not look good over time - and for that amount of money - I can buy lots of other bags (Marc Jacobs, Longchamp etc) or top up to get a Speedy 20 black or a Keepall XS eclipse or the going to be launched nano speedy canvas…
Agree with you that a luxury bag needs some innovative design and/or story behind to justify the price.

Hi, Jess, I’m with you that I like to get the unique bags that are a part of LV’s history. I love my multicolor Priscilla bag AND I have hunted diligently for a Cherries 🍒 Speedy 25 in great condition and found her yesterday!!!! I kept staring at yours on the shelf and it got to me! Sold 6 bags over the past month to pay for my new-to-me bags that are special ⭐️. Thanks for sharing ... I wasn’t big on the pink myself... it doesn’t even look like denim! I have 2 older real denim LV’s in great condition - I’ll just enjoy those for now 😄

What's your opinion on the blue Demin speedy 25? I'm torn because I think it is over priced and I worry about it pilling where it rubs on the body, but I think it's a great piece for someone who doesn't like vachetta and doesn't own a speedy yet. Fun video!
I am also 50/50 on the blue denim speedy 25 too. It doesn't have the vachetta. The gold hardware probably will tarnish fast. I got key cly with gold hardware and it tarnished in 1 year, not heavy use. The quality seems to be going down every year.

I also decided not to order the pink speedy. I was on the verge on buying it and then I paused and had to be rational. I have a nano speedy and never ever use it. So the size alone wouldn’t be worth the price. Also the vachetta aging against the pink denim I can’t picture it looking so good to me along with the actual color of the pink denim I wouldn’t be able to style it with what I wear. You actually inspired me to get the denim Pleaty and I think that sort of filled that denim desire. I’m planning on getting the pink denim shoes because I feel I would get more use out of those and can get that pink denim fix.

I just order a dupe of the denim nano speedy by Brandon Blackwood called the Cara duffle bag on Nordstrom for $200 🇨🇦. I'm excited to see the quality. I'm not familiar with the company but it's black owned and founded. I also spotted a dupe for the Prada reissue in the same denim called the Syl bag. It's super cute too! Glad you passed on the pink denim...I think for that price you will find many more treasures ❤

Great choice Jessie. And I agree, fashion houses are put under immense pressure to make money, more than ever before, so they are relying on the trend cycle and previous successful styles to bring in the $$$. Creativity & originality has been on the downward spiral for a decade now.
In terms of quality for money, Louis Vuitton is just a name. I wish it would be common sense now so that we dont need to say 'oh this brand actually is better quality than LV". Most brands are; Loewe, Ferragamo, Bottega, Hermes, Bulgari... although I think LV's exotics are exceptional
Us as consumers need to venture out a bit more. I would love a Bulgari Serpenti bag and a Roman stud Valentino bag. Have you SEEN the Roman stud bag - in purple - OMG!!! love it

Agree. It’s ok to say no and there’d always be something better in the future. I also manage to pass on the pink denim speedy 😎 as I already got two speedy 20 and I love them so much. I have preordered the pink denim micro pochette though 😜😜😜

In my opinion most of the time the places that are offering truly novel designs are the newer brands that fall into the contemporary/bridge brands or more second tier luxury brands. I see very little design innovation with any of the big luxury houses.
