Awsome video guys
Thanks!
❤you guys, you 2 are adorable cool Jeep and set up happy 4th be safe my friends 😊
Great vid thx for showing all the more difficult spots. I was wondering would a stock 2019 jl make it in your opinion
You would need to carefully pick your lines in a few spots. Most of the trail you would be fine. I can’t say how much the trail has changed since this video was made though.
Its nice to have such a trail worthy jeep .. something i would not try with my stock 2 door wrangler ...you guys are a treat to watch ... Happy Trails 🎶🎶
Thanks 😁 I think you would be fine in a stock Jeep Wrangler on a good weather day. You just have to pick the right lines and be a little more courageous than me lol.
Stock jeeps do just fine on Hurricane Creek.
Stock 2 door is BETTER on trails. Entry, departure, and break over are ALL better on the 2 doors. Just as the 4 door Wrangler being shorter has better break over and departure than a Glady. Entry is that same. As long as you are not on all season tires. Any AT or MT tires will do it.
No it's not a two wheel drive trail, in fact you need a good traction control system or lockers, also need lots of clearance so you don't suffer damages.
Love the video, thanks!
I’m glad you liked the video. We had a lot of fun. Yeah, I wouldn’t recommend it for 2wd.
It is entirely doable in 2wd. Not optimal maybe. But I have seen plenty do it. I have done it in 2 high myself. In a 1998 Cherokee. Admitted I have a Rubicon with lockers and electronic sway bar disconnect in my current Jeep.
Wish we had some trails like this out here. I'm in the desert in SoCal. Totally different terrain out here.Nice video!
NC does have some beautiful trails for sure! Nothing like them here in Florida either. Glad you enjoyed the video. 😁
nice video. I haven’t been on any of them but next time you’re up here you can try going to Uwharrie National Forest as there seem to be some trails up there.
Thanks for the tip! We’ll have to check the out!
Great Video. What Bumpers are you running?
They are the Rugged Ridge Arcus Bumpers Front and rear. Thanks for watching.
@@kgeorgeson thank you for the reply.
Will a stock Trailhawk be able to wheel it?
That’s a tough call not knowing the current conditions of the trail. Picking the right lines would help and having another capable vehicle with you would be a must. I’ve seen a video on CZcams where a stock outback did the trail. There is always a risk. 80% of the trail you’ll probably be fine. There are a few spots that will get your attention. Kevin
Nice video. We did the same thing at the Y. Had a to backtrack to the correct road.
😅
Me to was a fun 180 on The steep section of the Wesley Cr Rd Onex Off road saved the trip.
We always go right at the fork. It's more fun.
no need for 4 wheel drive in Bent Creek, no need to disconnect, it is a Experimental forest run by the Forestry Department.
We discovered that very quickly 😁 it was a leisurely drive. Most of the video is of Hurricane Creek, which was awesome.
Love the Video.Which axles? Transmission? Gear Ratio? My wife and I have a 2018 JLU 6 speed on 35s just curious and want to go and ride hurricane Creek and camp out.
it has the Dana 44 rear axle and the Dana 30 front. The front has a torq locker that I installed. The gear ratio is the factory 3:45 and the 8 speed transmission. Tire size is 35” and 3.5” metal cloak lift. I don’t think you’ll have any issues on that trail. Just pick the right lines. There are some awesome camp sites along the trail. Thanks for watching 😊
@@kgeorgeson Thanks so much, ours has the same axles and gearing, 6 speed manual, 315 70r17 tires. We do have 37s tucked away in the shop and rock trix wheels. Still have to get the 5:13 gears before I can use them. And my wife was in a severe accident Wednesday, so after surgery and God knows how long until recovery, will probably be putting the gearing upgrades off for a long time. But am hoping once she can with the information you gave me, that we can do this and camp a couple of nights on the trail. Thank you so much for the information.
Sorry to hear about the accident hopefully her recovery goes well. My goal is 4:88 gears with 37’s and truss the front axle. Hopefully some day.
@@kgeorgeson maybe one day we can meet up with people like you two and trail ride and camp together. Thanks again for your response.
Certainly wouldn't have done that in the Transit 🙂
😆 This is true!
No buddy bother trying do the trail . I did it yesterday in my 85 Chevy. There’s a spot the banks like gone and there’s been a bunch of obvious roll overs into the 50 foot ravine. Only razors and motorcycles.I’ve bee doin it since I was a kid. I could’ve made prob but it wasn’t worth it. Minute 15.26 is where it’s gotten really bad
Oh wow. That’s too bad. It’s such a nice trail.
Just did this trail on 1/2/24 and it’s fine. Did it in a 4 door Wrangler with M/T’s and there weren’t any areas a stock 4WD vehicle wouldn’t be able to do.
@@727brianqyeah, this is a minimal trail. Made for Forestry vehicles on stock suspensions.
