This isn't the only way to do it.
It's probably not the best way to do it.
But it's how I did it.

"If I went into everything, it would be a 20 minute video" - total running time 20:16 - yeah good job 😀😀😀

Yeah, I thought about cutting that prediction out, but I figured someone might find it funny.

I have been interested, yet intimidated by pi, but now I think from watching this video, I will actually breakdown and buy this kit so I can finally learn and expand. Thanks Kent, again, your videos are wonderfully informative.

Very cool kit. That whole hold down the button while plugging in the USB is why I've come to love the usb hubs that have on/off switches per port. Hold the button with one hand and turn the port on with the other.

It is wonderful that the Pico is still available, unlike the Pi and CM4 modules. It may just be a matter of time before industry finds a killer app for these. Have made a 5-stepper 3d printer (klipper) controller from one.
May be worth your time to glue/solder a reset button on the surface, to avoid all the power cycling.

That bumper car reminds me of my old Lego Mindstorms RCX kit (the one with the yellow brick). It somehow feels like we've gone full circle with a new generation of hardware and software. It looks like a lot of fun.

I have almost the same car beside me with 2 pieces of acrylic and 4 motors. I have it on standoffs as a long-term test bot for a much nicer one I have for when I integrate all the different sensors. It's a cool kit

Just received my kit. And the Pico is missing! The IR receiver module is missing. And the Vibration Sensor is bent. Recommend anyone buying this to make sure to do a detailed check of the items in the kit as soon as they receive it. You won't want to get caught out

That kit is pretty good value for money I think.
And if one has reached its limits with µ-Python (😅) , Arduino runs just as good on the pico ;)

"It's definitely a kit you get a lot of mileage out of."
Seriously, considering one lesson is a line follower, how many of those modules could you add and program it to do things like sense flames and sound an alarm over WiFi or Bluetooth plus give location data?
    Neat kit.

On product page (at the bottom of the page) you have two links one to manual (pdf), second to zip file with source code for lessons.

I'd rather use CircuitPython (a fork of MicroPython by Adafruit for more simple coding) for this, but L32 has me interested - I made a BT-controlled Arduino Uno robot already, but I want to do more with robotics.
