Scott Addict R4 DURA ACE 7900 UPGRADE

In this video, I would like to upgrade my youngtimer road bike Scott Addict R4 2008. It is full carbon frame with the Ultegra 6700 groupset. The frame features carbon dropouts (first at its time) and has integrated seatpost IMP. The original weight was 7820g and we are interested in what the weight loss will be with the best groupset Shimano Dura Ace 7900 from 2008. After assembling the new groupset, I test drive it on the Zwift.

Rám má jako jeden z prvních karbonové koncovky a integrovanou sedlovku systémem IMP. Původní váha byla 7820g a nás zajímá, jaký bude váhový úbytek s nejlepší sadou Shimano Dura Ace 7900 z roku 2008. Po montáži nové sady vyzkouším kolo na trenažéru a aplikaci Zwift.

I have a 6600 ultegra with a lot of 10 speed wheelset. I'm also thinking of building a different bike but don't want to do the new ones. Im thinking of 7900.

Any chance you can read the headset bearing sizes on that? I have an identical bike and need to replace the headset bearings, but they are so worn out, I can’t read the size.

How is the 7900 doing with rear derailleur shifting? I heard the RD is not as good as the 7800.

I have cycled about 3000 km and dura ace 7900 works great. the difference may not be that big , but dual control is better shaped and Dura Ace is Dura Ace. I am very satisfied. Thank you for the support.
