is ian's mat legal? i thought front rests/boards in FTR could only be 2 inches wider either side of your bipod set at its widest setting?
No restrictions on flexible mats/rugs. Certain restrictions on hard boards.
You guys mentioned no one using a .223. Id like to see these guys come to Hazard ,Ky and shoot in the prone match. Its exactly the opposite, no one uses a .308. Odd how the cartridge wallops the other at different locations

We don’t know what they are capable of shooting because they differ. Some guns are tuned better than others. Having said that, the guns at the V2 finale are very well tuned because these shooters are top notch. It’s obvious when a rifle is out of tune. You’ll see some examples of that in the upcoming matches.
So a 1:10 twist will stabilize a 200 plus grain bullet in .308? How long are the barrels on the FTR rifles. Also, what is the COAL? That 200 grain bullet probably takes up a good bit of space does it not?
They have long throated chambers that allows them to seat bullet way out there.
I shoot a 30" barrel, and my COAL for this rifle is 3.12"
I think I liked the shooters talking for back ground over the music.

60x is pretty common.
