- Title says it all Boys, girls & Other. In this video Ill demonstrate how to add the devices associated with the client site to said client site in unms. Ill also show you how it pushes the settings out from UNMS to your mikrotik.
**3 Important Notes**
(1, if you have issues getting the plugins to work check the ports their set for.)
(2, If users start having issues with Zoom or other streaming services change the que buffer from "4" to "200".. EG under the parent que settings change the "Queue Size" to "200~400 Packets". )
(3, With UBNT you have the option to shape at the cpe. UNMS will push the appropriate shaping rules to the clients cpe even when Bridged. This will help reduce CPU overhead on the mikrotik ;) )
Enjoy.
Don't forget. I do these videos out of pocket. Please help keep me fed & get better equipment for the videos.
Thanks guys.

Very helpful!!
Im Glad, Thank you :)
I liked it😂😂😂😂
Thanks for your videos Ms.Fixit!
I have implented cloud UNMS and have added ubnt devices and everything runs smoothly.
How can i add mikrotik clients to this cloud unms server?
Do i have to do it through API procedure?
I haven't configured any gateway router to the UNMS server so far....
Thanks for your time
I don't think you can, I looked all over the place trying to figure it out, I know back in the day you could, but if anyone knows please let us know.
Hi,
The Mikrotik is communicating with UNMS but no queues, what could be the issue?
I have an edge router seated behind my firewall, its working fine with the unms server and seeing all CPEs on the network but the automatic suspension of clients in real time is not working. I have tried fixing that but i don't know if there is something else i am missing please help guys.
An edge router contains a firewall so it shouldn't be behind one. Your publics should be on it. Make sure to add it to unms as your primary gateway. I'm not a fan of them and fir that reason run mikrotik.
Good day Ms Fixit.
In the UNMS Billing how can I integrate a balance brought forward from my old system into UNMS?
Im not entirely sure. I would check the UBNT forums.
Hello @Ms.Fixit: How about an office building with multiple (20)clients. Can i add more clients to One CPE. They are all connected to one Radio however, they have more than 20 last mile devices as they're 20 clients in the office building.
You can yes. But if you're managing the clients with unms treat each customer as a site ;)
i just want the unms for cpe monitoring of clients and i have mikrotik as gateway router. My current setup is PPPoE. Can i still integrate it without the unms automatically changing the simple queue of mikrotik? I think ucrm is for dhcp setup only.
Yes. You have to add the feature for it to work. So simply dont add it. Just use the cpe traffic shaping & Suspend plugin ^^
@@thefixitgal Thanks. Very informative video, worth subscribing :)
should i set the client to bridge mode or router mode ? i'm using unms cloud
Bridge mode is optimal.
hi ms.fixit do you have an idea on how to configure it by using mikrotik pppoe? my lbe gen 2 is on a pppoe port and I tried it many times but it was not appeared in unms...
You cant. You also dont need to use PPPOE. DHCP authentication is a great simpler config.
well this is sad, but thanks..kudos to channel 🙂
So I'm assuming you put the CPEs in bridge mode in order to login to the customer's router? Trying to figure out that part.
Actually you want the ap's & cpe's in bridge mode so the clients router doesn't need to jump through as much nat. UNMS doesn't need to log into the customer router. If its a ubnt router you can add it but the traffic shaping is either done on the cpe or based on the customer routers wan ip.
@@thefixitgal Got it. I'm a small wisp and I have all CPEs running in router mode. I have read some threads saying it's highly recommended to put cpes in router mode to avoid customers plugging out the cable from the WAN to a LAN port on their router. It's said that such a scenario can cause customer router to become dhcp server and interfere with the entire network. What's your thoughts on this?
@@keshanwilliams8220 I made a video about the proper way to stop that XD. Its called "Last mile isolation"
@@thefixitgal will check it out. Thanks much for sharing your knowledge with us. Your videos are awesome!
hi can you show how to suspend clients
