I love his story and his summation. I too hitchhiked all around Israel, (with a dear friend). We went to the same areas. Worked on a kibbutz. We were there for the 3 months prior to the Yom Kippur war. Hitchhiked with beautiful Jewish and Moslem people and I still hold those memories dear in my heart. Left for Greece just 3 days before the outbreak. No, no one knew it was imminent. We left because a kibbutz organized trip to the Sinai to Mt St Catherine’s was unexpectedly cancelled. my Calvary Chapel church in London ON sent letters to the local Rabbis letting them know that we stand with them and are ready to offer any help they may need in this troubled world. We students of the Bible know Pierre, what is coming.
Biden also moved us (in Israel) to tears right after Oct. 7th with his words of commitment and support and the "never again" theme and now look at what he is saying. Pierre is giving such a supportive and moving speech, using the Shoah to hook us in, touching on our deepest traumas. I want so badly to believe that he is sincere and he seems to be, but I've lost faith in politicians. I hope Pierre helps retore my faith. What he should have mentioned at the end of his speech when he spoke about Auschwitz, is that Canada has learned something from the abysmal "none is too many" chapter of its history. I truly worry about the future of Canada.

I have heard a lot of political speeches and or speech's by politicians in my lifetime, and I want to say I am not Jewsh, and I have to say the speech was the most heartwarming speech I have ever heard in my life. Poilievre may very well be Canada's best orator ever.
