- As a Seabee, your place is not in an office or at a desk and your hands will get dirty on the job. With a team, you’ll operate heavy duty equipment to build base facilities and defense operations around the world. Beyond that, Seabees are first responders and provide humanitarian aid in the event of a disaster. This is more than a construction job: you need to build with compassion for others and always be ready to defend. Sound like a lifestyle that would suit you? Visit bit.ly/2Mp8CMW
As a USAF civil engineering guy, I worked with Seabees on deployment. Top notch bunch.
I was Structures went through their BUI school. They were with us in Balad, I liked the fact they were armed up, unlike us.
If the navy responds I’ll go the Seabee route. Already going to do it but would be awesome if the navy responds😁

If you obtain a college degree in a different subject, i.e. not engineering, and sign up as an officer, can you still be a Seabee officer. I am working on my English degree, but I also have hands on experience in the trades and would like to become a CB officer.
Nope
Maybe... A friend of mine became a Nuclear officer with an interior design degree.

Is it true advancement takes forever? Advancement meaning ranks..
No I made Chief Construction Mechanic in 9 years. It all depends on how motivated you are to take on collaterals, work hard, stay away from negative situations, help fellow sailors and Seabees, study hard and work in your rate.
My local recruiter hasn’t even contacted me yet, is there other possible ways to enter?
No, the only way to join is to talk to a recruiter
Hi there, thank you for reaching out! We have multiple ways to contact a recruiter. Please visit our contact page: bit.ly/3hKOztP

I'm going to RTC as a (CM) construction mechanic. Will I still be able to operate equipment?
I don't think so. I think that's a separate school within the Seabees, but I am not in or anything
@jasonbrown5014 10-4 thanks. I have since became a seabee and have found an answer to my question.
was i right?
@@brodyleger7751
@@brodyleger7751 Hey man, I ship out in a month as a BU. How's it been so far as a Seabee?
@kampfer5054 unfortunately I cannot speak so far in terms of being a BU I'm a CM. But I will tell you that A-school is a bit challenging as you near the end. I'm personally still in A-school.
If the navy replies to this it will be a sign for me to join
