Thank you for this video! This information helps me to have a deeper understanding the political dynamics of the Soviet Union during its time. My parents offered me an opportunity to go to Russia 🇷🇺 when I graduated high school in 1989 with my social studies class at my school and I turned it down. I have regretted my decision ever since. I turned the trip down because I thought my parents were doing enough for my graduation with parties, presents, big meals, overnight trips to Disneyland with my senior class, etc. I also regretted not visiting Russia because I could have seen what the Soviet Union was like before the Berlin Wall came down later in November of that same year. It could have been a piece of history and experience, now as a teacher myself could have shared with my students. Long story short, So now, I tell my students all of the time, if you ever get a window of opportunity that comes your way for a new experience, do it! So you don’t regret it like me 😢 Great video👍🏾😌
In the good old days of the USSR(cccp)where most party members “True Believers” or just ambitious professionals looking to climb Soviet corporate ladder, and, advance their careers. Remember the expression : “He/She Stepped into the Party”; or “He/She is a big MEMBER of the Party”. 😊😊😊
it is the way of the world....
@@CrazyRussianDadWere you a pioneer?
Glory to May Day now and for ever from Italy all workers are brothers
@@REI_HAS_A_GUN well, except Korea, Hungary, Cuba, Czechoslovakia, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Mozambic, Ethiopia, Somalia, the Congo, Yemen, China, and essentially half of the entire goddamn planet, the USSR didn't invade other countries at all.
Your accent is very lovely. You really are a true Russian, or to be precise, a true Soviet.
"Communist Party, the greatest party." Were there any other political parties in the USSR? Nice little history lesson on "May Day" and thanks for sharing!
of course not! :)
There are. But only in the Gorbachev Era.
There are Three Legal Political parties approved by the Soviet Kremlin :
-Democratic Union Party (1988)
-Liberal Democratic Party of the Soviet Union (LDPSU) (1989)
-Socialist Party (1990)
There are also Regional Parties in the Soviet republics like the :
-Union for National Self-Determination (Armenia) (1987)
@CrazyRussianDad
😂😂😂
There was one class - the proletariat - and it need not have any other party. That’s Menshevism, or division of the proletariat to use them for the capitalist restoration.
Saluti dall'Italia. Viva Russia❤
Huge thanks for the video!
I love your akcent 😅
I also love accent as well
I am sure you were all attracted to participate by the free food at the picnic afterwards! 😊
Very spontaneous and completely organic Tovarisch.
Your awesome and awesome video be safe out there 😎👍🙏
Just found your videos recently their very entertaining :)
Every May 1st I host a May Day Party - gets a good 30+ attendees (grows yearly) who were in the Pioneers/Komsomol/Communist Youth of their countries. We wear our badges (many of us saved at least a few), red or blue kerchiefs - some people still have their hats. The party always starts out with us reenacting a Pioneer meeting, complete with reciting the oath, saluting, etc. To outsiders, it may sound lame, but we are ROLLING with laughter by the end. My housemate's mum was in the Titovi Pioniri (Jugoslavija) & only 2 years ago worked up the courage to join us (she's in her 80s)... at first she was nervous (old habits of being monitored die HARD), but now she has a blast and joins in the fun. Of course I make good old Soviet dishes - Makaroni po Flotski, Salat Olivier (tinned veg ONLY!), home made Kompot and Kvas... plus Communist-era dishes from the countries our friends are from... then we drink wodka, Slivovic, and Sovietskoye Shampanskoye (not all the labels say Igristoye yet) and sing the old songs. It's so much fun and VERY liberating (again, Westerners can't possibly understand). It's also a LOT of fun - yes, we lived in a giant prison, but that didn't mean we were miserable all the time! We laughed, ate, drank, and led decent lives. The funniest part is that we have people who were Russians, Soviet Jews, Hungarians, Poles, Jugoslavs, Ethiopians, Roumanians, Lithuanians, Slovaks - and with only SLIGHT differences, the meetings we all had to go through were THE SAME lol
Those were the good times.

And… Cola->
I love you man ❤
He is not a man, he is a commrade ⚒️
Hail to mother Russia my friend
Well, i pretty much has a respect for Russia from Hungary, comrade, my grandma's family also went to these parades
My friend from high school was a Hungarian immigrant and both his parents grew up during the communist times and were overall positive about the Soviet Union and Russia. As I got older enough to understand things more, it was very interesting, talking to them about what life was back during communism, and even hear good things about it considering we were in the American south, nobody in the school was gonna say anything nice about those things, nor were any people we met in the street.
Üdvözletem, elvtárs
Slava SSSR ❤
USSR❤
My sister and father did charity work throughout the 1980s and 1990s in various places that were distressed. For example, they would feed the poor in Mexico or go to one of the slum areas in America or do the same in New Zealand. There are organizations that travel to various places throughout the world to help those in need. Well shortly after the fall of the USSR, they went to Russia to help in an orphanage. My dad reported that outside of Moscow, in the rural areas, it was like being transported back to the 1960s except that everybody was in a state of privation by 1960s standards. In America today, we do not have free market economies. What we have is corporate cronyism whereby you can't tell where the corporations end and the Government begins because they have their heads up each other's ass. This distorts free markets effectively giving corporations a form of oligopoly control. However, I would take even this broken piece of dung system over the ravages of communism ANY DAY.
Hello, working class. I thank you for your time.
sounds like my in-laws speaking 😂

Spa see bah crazy russian dad i have the soviet hat usnkana from 1988
I would not translate that as "hail to", but rather as "health to". Meaning a general wish for the health or proper operation of whatever person, demographic, or organization we're trying to praise.
Whether thats Soviet Women, or Soviet Automotive Manufacturing, I'm not particularly against either of those.. Even Brehznev, mostly I might say it's a few decades too late for "good health" to be of any use to him. But given he's past the point of being able to cause harm to anyone, I don't wish him any specific harm either.
But on the subject of "failed communist ideals", the central concept of equality between national cultures, genders, and so on, that lives on in the West, and is a worth while idea. Whoever a person may be, whatever their background or gender, we all generally have the same number of arms and legs. So why couldn't we all do any particular kind of work, on equal terms, and equally to society and the economy?
GLORY TO USSR
Russian Jew you!😀
Догго
Seems more like a cult than a political parade.
