The original 1969 427 Mustang was reported as 375 horse power for insurance reasons. It was actually like the 1970 Chavelle, well over 500 horses
428
It was a 428, which was the same engine family as the 427. But it had a smaller bore, and longer stroke, so it was easier to cast the block. It actually was only advertised as 335 hp, but made closer to 400. 500 would be an overestimate.
Correctly rated at 375 at 5200... but they Rev to 6000 or more so it was very deceptive. Watch video of "stock boss 429".. it's under 500 hp
@@user-qr7ee2cp4y
375 would be the very rare Boss 429.
They only made like 800 of those, so it's more of a collector's car than anything else.
Chavelle, eh?😅😅😅
This is something I've always dreamed of owning. Thank you for this one Parker
Glad you liked it!
@VehicleVirgins I was born in the 80s and this was my poster car. I love super cars and have respect for them. But I love this
@@VehicleVirginsthis is quite literally my dream car and I want it modified by classic recreations, I’m in my 2nd year of college and I’ll be able to make 250k-350k+ a year by 28 and it’s my plan to buy one of these cars, and a Camaro zl1, and a 68 charger engine swapped and modified with a hellephant engine, and a rx7 I plan to start businesses and finance the vehicles and use the money from the businesses I start to pay for them, yk like start a business that makes me the money for the car instead of outright buying them
So if you have this mega horsepower car and don't floor it at least once during the video, then you just wasted my time, nothing but CLICKBAIT!!
Thank you lol. Was thinking the same thing
100% agree
Sunday drivers you can't expect much . 😂
It’s vehicle virgins what did you expect
How long have you watched Vehicle Virgins ? His video titles have been clickbait ever since he started on CZcams
I'd take this Mustang over a Lamborghini any day for sure. Just stunning and beautiful and l love the sound and the gorgeous black paint.
Love this Parker. Congrats on the new site and please post more classic car “resto-mod” content!
The original Boss 429 (1359 made from 1969-70) came out of the factory with around 550bhp and the later models were detuned because of emissions and they made around 450bhp.
The more powerful ones (first 279 made) were 1969 models and they are refered to as the 'S-Code' engined cars because they had more powerful NASCAR Internals.
The later 1969 ones are the 'T Code' engined cars, they revved quicker but had the added smog and emissions equipment.
The 1970 cars (499 made) were labeled as the 'A code' engined cars. They didn't have the NASCAR Internals.
375bhp was still an understatement however, It was mainly marketed as such to lower the Insurance cost of the car.
All of the cars came with power steering, power brakes, disc brakes at the front and a 4 speed manual as standard, no automatic was available.
No cars however came with A/C. It was also the first Mustang ever to be fitted with a rear sway bar. Still didn't handle well though (lol), as any classic muscle car.
Till this day, the Boss 429 still holds the title for the largest factory hood scoop fitted to not just any Mustang, but any Ford In general. This review sorta came In clutch cause I just got Into reading about this Mustang a month ago, usually am not a fan of muscle cars, I mean they're cool for sure but never was really that much Into them as I am Into drivers cars. A '69 Boss 429 In Raven Black though, something about It speaks to me. Thanks for the review!
Very good, did your home work.
Did you notice they talk very little about the car I never heard how many gears on the transmission or what the real cubic inch was except for a glance. They never showed us the rest of the car especially underneath or a real view of the engine. They could take a lesson from Maple motors.
Anyway, the original 429 Boss hemi was a NASCAR engine It was built by Ford to beat the 426 hemi. And it did put out some great horsepower I believe this was in 1967 maybe before.
@@jamesmedlin8552 zip his pants up when ur done
Wrong! The early boss 429 had a hydraulic cam n the later 70 models got a solid lifter cam that made it 550 hp.
Plus both 69 and 70 models had emissions and both years had 10.5 compression so get it rt before you act like u actually know what your talking about!
Such an amazing video Parker , keep up the good work .
Looks super sick with black on black 🔥🔥
Always been a fan and it's nice to have an auto CZcamsr with an engineering degree! Hope your new online car auction site succeeds dude 👍
thank you so much :)
Vehicle Virgins Awesome Review I think that RestoMod 1969 Mustang Boss 429 is absolutely incredible and I can't wait to see the POV Drive Review
One of the most beautiful cars ever built...I own a 70 coupe, a 69s model sister but it ain't no fastback and ain't no Boss 429 clone!
Congrats on the new auction site!
Thank you for sharing Parker! You should come to our new HQ and feature some of our full-carbon fiber Shelby vehicles!
Wow, that car is beautiful!!
Doug low key ripped off bringatrailer, so who even cares at this point. Everyone’s just trying to make some money
BaT and C&B are definitely different from each other. BaT tailor picks its cars and who they want to allow to sell cars (no minorities allowed to sell). C&B will take just about any modern car as long as you run it without a reserve. Will Parker’s new site out preform either company, no but it is another option for those who can’t get their vehicle onto the other big auction site. I’m sure his new site will do good and I wish him the best of luck with it.
It's like "cars and bids" for copycats!
I’m very proud of Doug and his success but you are right, neither of us came up with this concept, BAT did. And really, BAT is just an online version of RM / Mannheim auctions. There’s room for all of us as you said!
Huh...what do you mean no minorities are allowed to sell
@@VehicleVirgins just be fair and honest, your new company will thrive. Everyone likes/needs options and your popularity will help the car community know that there is an additional online auction option. I personally think your sweat spot will be classic cars that BaT won’t take and C&B doesn’t do classic cars. Oh make sure not to discriminate against minorities selling their cars like BaT does, they are terrible for that.
Should do more classics!
I owned nine mustangs over the years dark blue metallic 1971 mustang special it is a 1971 mustang coupe with a ram air hood front spoiler and black side strips it had a 351 Windsor 2 barrel carburetor white 71 mustang coupe, Burgandy 1969 mustang fastback,1971 mach 1 mustang,1970 mustang grande, black 1969 fastback,1973 mustang coupe,1989 mustang Gt 5speed manual transmission,1988 red mustang Gt automatic transmission.I also owned a 1981 mercury Capri 4 cyl 4 speed manual transmission. The Capri was a hatchback and also built on the foxbody platform.good cars.My favorites were the 1970 grande that was the first car I bought. The white 1971 coupe. The 1988 mustang Gt automatic.was fun I used to drag race this one.The best Ford engine I ever owned. The car in the video is incredible. The older ones I owned stopped okay but he is right. Not quite as good as modern cars.
That is truly a sexy car. Love the black on black.
That snow plow on the front end is aawwsome, should last a few weeks at best.
UGLY AF!
In 1977 I had a '69 Mach 1 with a 390.
I had it upgraded for bracket racing and it was unbeatable.
It had N50x15s in the back with G60x14s in the front.
Ladder bars with a B&M Click Shifter and 3.5" Hooker Headers.
God I miss that car.
Some jackass hit and totalled it.
In 1969 I was 13 and living in Trier Germany , walking down to the High School I went past a beautiful green and black mack1 Mustang, with American overboard green registration plates, kind of car we can forget, the first thing I noticed was the different horse on the radiator grille!!😃compared with an older Mus. Today I could take a picture of exactly the same car on a CZcams video I developed it and put it on my bathroom wall
@@dominiquepaul6877 that was the color of mine.
Forest green with a black hood and gold with white stripes.
@@patrickcarleton3924 Did you buy it from an air force fighter jet pilot?
@@dominiquepaul6877 nope.
Bought it from my cousin-in-law.
After getting stopped numerous times for nothing and getting harrassed by the local PD I found out it was used to run drugs from Tha Bay area to the Central valley here in California.
The car was fast for sure.
Holy crap was I shocked.
Took a while for its rep to die down and the cops to leave me alone.
what a beauty !
Wicked Boss Mustang
Damn this is the mustang i want , we've got the other newer models in Malaysia but man, this is sick
Maybe a shoulder harness would've been a reasonable upgrade?
All the painted trim looks crazy
I had a ‘70 Mac 1 that was a damn rocket, at 18 years old nobody told me to switch the drum brakes for discs before it was too late 🤣🤣🤣
This “auction site” will fly about as high as that second channel he created. 😂😂😂
" wont depreciate" 🤭🤭🤣🤣🤣. Sick Stang by the way👍🍻
Fantastic car!
Did the builder use a John Kaase engine I assume? Original engine parts for these are grip + nowadays. So far my '9 engine build is progressing very slowly on account of that fact alone. Mine is also 1969 Raven Black T motor but the sticker in the door says KK19xx.
Real nice car
Next time take the car to AUTOTOPIA LA for a real evaluation and TEST DRIVE!
Really needs a seatbelt upgrade lol
Yes please !
for some reason i really love the boss 429 now, i really want it but its so expensive
Very nice, mad max would be jealous.
Awesome video
The driver said why would you buy this car if it’s not loud or if it isn’t loud, I’d buy the car because it just looks so freaking good, better then a Ferrari, Lamborghini and all the other exotic cars or any other car.
No reason at all why they can’t make the newer releases of the classic muscle cars look exactly like their old 60’s and 70’s OG look.
In 1969, Ford had to deal with the Mopar HEMI engine in NASCAR, so it decided to give its Mustang a thorough massage. And this is how the Boss 429, with its 7.0L big-block V8, was born as a road homologation. Well, in case you know somebody who might feel the pony could do with some extra displacement, you might want to show the aficionado this example gifted with a generous stroker kit by Classic Recreations." - Auto Evolution
Didnt tell anybody about engine used in this mustang no description but i would suggest try twin turbo or supercharged engine
Would have loved to watch this bud but the audio is so hard to hear in the car. Def worth lapel mics for you and your guest in future 👍
Hey, Parker, can you drive a 1973 VW Kombi Subaru EJ25?
Austin rivers got good taste
A boss for a boss
Daumen hoch für diesen Bericht und dieses schöne Fahrzeug mega klasse danke dafür😊😊😊

Love this thing
I want to hate sooo bad and talk about how ridiculous the prices are and how we're getting ripped off but the truth is, there's so much work that goes into making these cars look good and work properly that they're definitely worth the money. The upgrades are amazing. These people are craftsmen and I just can't afford one. 😭😭. I just couldn't be a hater this time.
Hi there from germany. That car is the most beautiful car ever imho. Some day i will try to get it
Reminds me of the film THE CAR! It’ll run over and kill everything in its sight! lol I Love everything about it except the wheels. But hey that’s an easy change!
Exactly Chrome ALL the way I hate those stupid black wheels. That fad will go away soon
280 was a steal!
Back in 1969 or 70 i was at the local drag strip man that built this brand new boss 429 and driver made a 530 8th mile pass came round the driver said he told me to make it run all i could say was i would never have cut that car up like that it was show room stock body cut for tires and 8 point roll cage half chassis we called it BUT I WOUNDER WHAT HE THINKS TODAY ABOUT A KID TELLING THAT CAR WOULD BE WORTH A FORTUNE 1 DAY
ITS ALL JOHN WICK'S FAULT!!! BECAUSE OF HIM. I STARTED TO DREAMED OF OWNING THIS CAR!
Even the older engines though can be 'modernized'... to get more horseys... That original 429 for the track was puttin out over 500. Andd the origiinal Hemis were puttin out 800 on the track. Just imagine if they had turbos. Hmmm... Or supercharging.
Downfall of vehicle virgin😂😂😂
Oooh you soo sad my boi
Dumbass comment. 🤡🤡
I'm sold!
I want to own this one day I love classic mustangs
Sweet car.
3:25 6'5 is literllay top 3% of height in the US lol "not that tall"
Yeah man 6,5 is huge and 6,8 is basically the tallest u can be before being freak
0:01 holy land 800 over there,
The down side is the exhaust under the car. I'd want it out the back, like "normal". Fords engine/horsepower ratings back then were way off for insurance reasons, unfortunately that scared off a lot of potential buyers that just wanted H.P. "ratings".
1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1
Boss 429 😮😮
wait why are there responses to comments that don't exists
God damn that's a sexy car
Sold for $280?!! Jesus! I have a 69 fastback ive been "nickle and dimeing" just to get on the road, its been years and im not there yet.....some peoples budgets blow me away
Yeah, and that carbon fiber and those seats look like shit. Not to mention it's an automatic.
@@williamguillIII yeah, sucks! All that money and odd choices in some of the things done to it.
Like gravity 🎼🎵🎶
Its a perfect Batman Car.
color is perfect. AT=booo
AUTOMATIC Mustang : I feel sick
CUANTO CUESTA ESTE AUTO, PUESTO EN CDMX
GRACIAS
Oh SHIT....he's turning into Doug Demuro with his own website! lol
You're known as the exotic car guy, but it's nice that you can appreciate the classics. I love both.
Austin Rivers...that's Doc River's son.
Beautiful 😊😊
Idgaf if it’s faster. The only motor swap for a Boss 9 that isn’t total heresy is a 427 SOHC. Or just give the existing Boss motor some boost.
What do you mean they're the "only company licensed"? Since when does a company have to be licensed to build a restomod???
For that price, I'd get a GT40 kit car.
ever sense i was bored my moms favorite car was a blue shelby mustang idk what year but something around this now im obsessed with getting my own 1969 fastback mustang idc if its destroyed or not running i will fix it myself i just want to have my own and make it badass asf
What’s the selling price for this 69 mustang? The guy said low three’s?
Omg what a teaser
What a great car. Looks like it sold for 280K.
The fact this is an automatic hurts my soul. ALMOST a dream car, but that definitely ruins the entire package in my eyes
Then dont buy it
You can get it in manual this one just happens to be automatic.
Got to have a stick shift . Automatic lazy driving. But as said, the car came with a choice . Stick or auto. Preferences.
The exhaust has a drone to it that would drive a guy mad after 1/2 hour.
Why does this dude sound like a high school girl that's trying so hard to remain in the top of her class hierarchy?
I like it when guys who know nothing about classic cars try to talk like they know something and say stuff like "300 HP was impressive for 69". Gen Z please go read a book or something.
Oh wow
I would absolutely love to try this in a manual shift!!
Sorry to hear about your luck
mayheme 🔥
Is that more fun than Tecnica Huracan
Tommy Egan sent me here.
Me too bro lol
1984 I bought the same 1969 for $1200 but, it was white...I wish I never sold it😮
2:01 hopefully you checked the air pressure of the tires before driving, looks pretty low
That looks like a ‘67 GT500. Also that’s a crate engine, after market.
your website is down...
This might be a great car to add to Kevin Hart’s car collection, give him a ring.
He has enough cars.
Who cares about that goofball
Great car!
❤️❤️❤️
What an amazing Car! I appreciate you showcasing this car, but I’m gonna give you a little constructive criticism. I think you could’ve mounted a GoPro on the outside of the car and showed a little footage from the outside. I think you could’ve got on it a little sooner rather than 10 minutes into the video. I think you probably could’ve done a little less talking while driving around about other stuff and highlighted the car more.
Amen to that The whole video should be about the car He should go take a lesson from Maple motors. I never heard how mini gears on that transmission what the drivetrain was They did very little talk in on the engine. Definitely an amateur virgin
I want this car
The high Twos? Hopefully $29k ...
Good video dude
Carbon Fibre is the new billet aluminum
