    That sunset at 18:32 was spectacular!

    What camping spot was at 3:00?

    Taco man with the game plan was my favorite. I appreciate a good prepped and planned meal. Also cooking is better than cleaning.

    Crazy that I run across this, exactly one year after you published it!

    what psi did you air down to on that ram rebel?

    So my take away here is: Don't go to BBRSP if you don't want some pin striping.
    Also, looks like cat poop to me.

      lol, We have hours on top of hours of buffing. White vehicles were easier to get out then the charcoal.

    Nice video! I was looking to stay at BBRSP with my popup camper. How much does that camper weigh behind the Ram? Did you have any issues with traction and the weight? Were there any areas in the park that you would not take it?

      Sorry for late response, I don't recall all the roads at this point. The dodge owner is still buffing out scratches to this day. I wouldnt take the trailer to any dead end destination areas like the mines and etc. No turn around areas. That camp side we stayed at was the most remote and difficult to get to and it wasn't a challenge for either vehicle or trailer.

  • @TheNotSoOrdinaryCarGuy

    How did the Rebel handle the trails there vs the JKU? I own both a TJ Rubicon and a 2019 Ram Rebel and I can't decide which one would be better to take.

    • @slyexpeditions6579
      @slyexpeditions6579  Před 4 lety

      It did fine, just a bunch of pinstripping on the truck due to the wider body.

    Was this the northern part of the park?

  • @pbodymathis

    Find some tracks? They would tell you what animal was pooping in the cave. Most likely mountain lion or bear since they are the largest animals in the area.

      State Park, and its PITA to get to it. Over an hour to get to next junction to check other things out.

    Nicely done video, but please don't cut down live vegetation on the trail. I am pretty sure it's not allowed in a state park, and certainly not treading lightly. That is the kind of thing that gets places closed to motorized recreation.

    • @slyexpeditions6579
      @slyexpeditions6579  Před 5 lety +9

      ? The park ranger literally told us that we might have to clear as we go. That the roads are not maintained and they haven't had anyone that could or would go down them in a while to keep them clear. I've been all over and if we didnt clear the roads they wouldn't be even be passable.

    • @chrisfev01
      @chrisfev01 Před 4 lety +1

      Sly Expeditions Yup, was told the same by the ranger at Sauceda - we always take brush clearing tools when we go, we've been to the park four times in the last five years - planning to go back in February.

    • @timaugustine3856
      @timaugustine3856 Před 4 lety +5

      I stand corrected.

    • @chrisfev01
      @chrisfev01 Před 4 lety +1

      Tim Augustine - I do agree that normally you would not clear brush due to the principles of “Stay the Trail” and “Tread Lightly” so your point is well-taken.
      I think that BBRSP is one of the few exceptions, if not the ONLY exception.
      Normally we in the off road community would never do this.

    • @slyexpeditions6579
      @slyexpeditions6579  Před 4 lety +1

      @@chrisfev01 Agree. BBRSP sees such little attendance and those that do attend dont venture down some of the trails.
