    I go tubeless on my gravel bike but it's not all about punctures. I reckon with today's supple tyres you can actually experience a more comfortable ride at the right pressures.

      Cheers bud hopefully it will keep getting better. Its probably a bit more than normal but i want to be able to stay out longer and go to more remote places. On the rear one light will clip onto the bag itself then one just below the seat post. Then front will just be on the bars, but because i want to be filming i probably wont ride to much at night anyway.

    Nice setup... Agree with the tubes but check out Panaracer Flataway tape, i had great success with it, you may think it's a good option? Seem to handle well👍

      im actually using maxis ramblers at the moment 45s set up tubeless they have been brilliant, so much so that when i took them off to put my road tyres on i must have spent 20 mins just pulling out thorns 🤣

    There's quite some cracking noise when you're riding. Is that simply the audi that picks up some friction or is it the bike itself?
    I'm looking at a sonder Camino grx2 vs a merida silex 400 (so any tips are welcome!)

      Which bike did you eventually choose?

    Can you tell which width rear tyre you could fit on 700C wheels (I assume?) on this bike? 700x43 as well?

      I currently run 50mm tyres on this bike. Little tight. I think officially it's 45mm, maybe 48mm czcams.com/video/epcZ81wqFCo/video.html

    Do you think the gorilla tape will provide some minor puncture proofing??

    • @KeepSmilingAdventures
      @KeepSmilingAdventures  Před 3 lety +1

      I’ve actually had really god experience with this technique in the past. When I was cycling around the coast of Europe on a fat bike I was getting so many punctures, so I ended up using it then and I never had a puncture again. Tyres are obviously a lot smaller so have only done 2 layers but I expect it to work just as well.

    What bars have you got on your Camino? Are they the bombers, spitfires, or something else that you have customised yourself?

    • @KeepSmilingAdventures
      @KeepSmilingAdventures  Před 3 lety

      They are the ritchey venturemax bars.

      Nice one. Good bars.
      Why tyres do you use on your Camino?

      I’ve got 43mm gravel kings at the moment. Work pretty well on the dryer stuff. Can see the full build here if you are interested. czcams.com/video/Iz0gyhq20zY/video.html

      Excellent. Are they the SKs, SS, or the slicks?
      I have a camino arriving at the end of June. I live in the same area as you do our bike routes will be very similar. I am trying to work out what the best tyre will be for a mixture of new forest gravel riding and road riding.

      @KeepSmilingAdventures  Před 3 lety

      @@yammsschmitz they are the sk’s. They will work fine around the gravel routes in the new forest. They roll well on the road too.
