He may be hitting bad notes as well or instead of a flat string. Surely his guitar tech would have brought him a quick switchover guitar. Billy's ears may be failing him as well. Why would he keep on going as if there wasn't a problem.
@@johnc.8298 There was a bit of both (I was at the gig) and his wrong notes lasted, lasted... He didn't seem to hear anything, didn't try to re-tune himself. Almost half of the concert to play completely out of tune, especially in the solos (it was better in the lower strings) It was a torture for the ears. And then, finally, a backliner brought him a black Les Paul, and it was much better. A few songs later, back to the baby blue guitar, and he played almost right in tune until the end of the concert, now very close... Impossible not to be disappointed. Fortunately his voice was ok.
Well, I'm laughing 'cause I've done it too: play very loud and out of tune until a light bulb in my mind lights up and say, "Hey dude, I think you are out of tune!!!" 😁 Most young fellas clip a tuner on the headstock, but Mr. Gibons is Old School, Jimi Hendrix Old School and he just plays. My overall feeling is that the great Blues players of old were seldom in tune too, 😆, I'm glad to see him strumming along. Paris is a beautiful city! Kind regards from the USA.
What's the point.. almost same stuff than with ZZ Top.. I don't get what is the idea..and blues would need bass with good patterns. In here..and usually ZZ Top bass is just knocking one note all the time.
