We got in a 2022 Ford Transit Connect cargo van and thought why not do a review on it? Getting a 2022 Ford Transit Cargo Van right now is pretty rare as they take up most of the vans in the whole cargo van segment. The great thing is that you can customize a Ford Transit Cargo Van into really any dimension you want. The problem is is that there is so much demand for these vans that the supply isn't there at this moment.
The 2022 Ford Transit Connect cargo van is a great little van for delivery drivers and also trades people who want to put materials or products in their van and have a decent amount of room when doing so. Price is also a great advantage to the Ford Transit Connect because they are cheap to buy, cheap to maintain and also great on fuel.

I bought a 2016 XLT with 19,200 miles on it in 2019 for $17k. Was in excellent like new condition. I got it luckily just before the price of used vehicles began to skyrocket. 3 years later, It's now worth $21k. Go figure. I love it! I carry 1,000 lbs all day long and still get almost 24 miles per gallon.
What do you carry? I"m lookin for jobs that can be done with a ford transit connect. Please help me out.
There is a healthy national inventory of these, lightly used. Not sure what the "worth" source is.
I bought a 2016 connect xlt with 70k mikes, perfect shape really , for $17,500 after taxes in 2024. I felt lucky to find it in all reality. These are becoming rare in my area (Washington State)…
Lol that same one you mention is now worth $14-16k but yeah it went up 😂
I would love to own a Transit Connect. I am a delivery driver on a fixed income, so it’s hard for me to save up and I can’t afford payments. Owning one would allow me to obtain contracts with different delivery companies. Maybe one day!!
The rear door open to the side with a push of the yellow button, unless its only on the XLT.
I wish the shifter was not on the center console. So it could be a little walkway to the back.
Would be cool if it had the option of a medium or high roof in this model.

I have to agree. I prefer a column shifter on trucks and vans of any size.
Does a 4x8 sheet of anything fit in the back ?
Lol when you said no one would be buying it to just have it, that "no one" is me xD id use it to transport my dogs since i have 5 and makes it easy to fit everything we take on roadtrips too
No doubt. My wife had talked for years about wanting the passenger model. Got one just 2 days ago, a 2022 new, SL LWB. I never paid much attention to them. But boy, I really like it’s ride and possibilities with just a few accessories. I believe she chose good.. I still have my F-150, but the van will really round out our transportation. And we paid less than MSRP.

One untruth here. The back doors open to 180 degrees. He needed to press the yellow buttons on the doors to release the 90 degree hold.
Press the yellow buttons to open up wider.
Make this an electric van with a 400 mile range and Ford would dominate the market!!

I* wish we had that 2L here in the UK, gutless gas or diesel with 120bhp but we do have the fogs, alloys (useless in urban environments) cruise and power everything inc. PTS.
Hard to find is an understatement. When I checked a couple months ago there was ONE within 200 miles of me, and it was a passenger version which is useless to me.

Trying to find out on the shifter there is a bottom on the side. What is that for?
If they made this capable of towing 3-4klbs it would be perfect.
For that price they could add a few more options. Auto lights would be nice, I'm always seeing people driving at night with their lights off. Push button to start the car so you don't lock your keys in the van.
What are some of the things you can do with this van besides Uber/lyft and medical Courier work?

The company I work for just got 2 2022 models of these. I’m 6ft 4in and I have plenty of head room. The seats are not very comfortable for me which is kind of an issue cause I’m driving 150-200 miles a day. Also our doesn’t have cruise control which sucks, but it has Bluetooth and a backup camera as well as windows all the way around. I don’t understand why it doesn’t have cruise control, but has Bluetooth and a backup camera but it’s better than nothing.
Nice! Glad the company you work for finally got them! Definitely weird that they wouldn’t include cruise isn’t it? I find it’s a must because most people driving these are driving for long periods of time!
CC is an option for XL.
People need to stop mentioning "back-up camera" as an added feature. Since 2018, it is required by law to have one. The connect is barebones but that is ok for what it is meant to be which is a work vehicle.

I personally need a cargo van like this. But I prefer to call them “unfinished” vans lol. I wish they would at install easy to clean wipe walls you can screw shelves in etc. then you can call it a cargo van. Having walls in this thing is a must for most I think. But you gotta do it yourself. I heard this van is slow sluggish? I want something easy to clean and no carpeting.

ford needs to bring the manual transit van to the U.S. like UK gets. how the hell did they not give us that, plus four wheel drive would be amazing.
I drive one the locks would drive you mad.The side or back doors keep locking.not good if you in and out.Pluss head light very poor.At bottom sliding door poor design a track holding wires in place very fragile and easy to accidently break.
Looking at getting one of these to move my Sportbike crotch rocket around. Looking at dimensions I think it will fit! Gonna have to visit the local dealership.

Yep- rated for 2,000 lbs towing.
It has lamp with only 1 source of light in front, no wall between passenger and cargo areas, no daylight LEDs, manual mirrors but still it has automatic gearbox and reverse camera. Very strange version, mix of ultra poor and rich options.
why do they make new cars so weak these days .. I have a 2007 ls 4cyl colorado.
