- In this video i install a massive diy lithium lifepo4 battery bank in my Lavranos 36ft monohull sailboat, including:
64 x 3.2 Frey/fortune lithium lifepo4 cells
2 x Daly 300 amp BMS
48v lifepo4 battery bank with 400aH of Power
19.2kWh lifepo4 battery bank
I also go into how to check the cells internal resistance, voltage, and top balance them prior to install to make sure they are grade A new lifepo4 3.2v cells. And also how to check your capacity of your new cells.

Why would you remove a diesel to limit your range to 3hrs or so?
Much less noise, moving parts, maintenance, no smell, no oils, no fossil fuels, motor sailing options when the sun is shining, all my power comes from renewable resources so I am so much less reliant on outside resources, better for the environment. I definitely can’t use the electric motor like you would a diesel but I don’t miss it one little bit.

Hello, but looking at the Frey website you have huge choice of cells:
3.2V 2.5Ah
3.2V 5Ah
3.2V 10Ah
3.2V 20Ah
3.2V 40Ah
3.2V 50Ah
3.2V 60Ah
3.2V 100Ah
So which one did you select 10Ah each? Thanks@@slightadrift
