WHY I BELIEVE IN GHOSTS (and you should too)

  • In this video I go over my past experiences with the paranormal. There have two separate occasions in which I've encountered things that cannot be explained by conventional methods, and I'm hoping to hear your stories, too. I've been fascinated in ghosts/the possibility of an afterlife ever since, and I truly believe if you can look past a lot of the rubbish that surrounds the mainstream ghost hunting community, you may see something for yourself.

When I visited the UK in 2017, my friends and I saw something strange on a country road, on our way back to our hotel after a day out sightseeing. What we saw is listed in the Official UK Paranormal Data Base 😊

I’ve seen and heard way too much to NOT believe.

I would love nothing more than to have a real-life ghost experience! Both of your stories are creepy AF...good stuff.

You know you carry on believing Clark. There is a lot of paranormal out there 24/7. I have seen too much over the years for me to be convinced that there are lots of unexplainable things around us. Especially when you least expect it. I am very sensitive to electrical fields which l pick up straight away. I also lived in a house for a number of years where there were paranormal visitors. My daughters had their own experiences too. The last time was a few years ago when my 5 year old grandson asked me who that man was that passed him on the stairs describing him as a grey haired man with a long coat. Of course l found nothing. Like your locations

I stopped believing in ghosts about 4 years ago. I was an avid believer until I realized that most of my experiences could be easily explained. So I spent a few weeks looking for ghosts, and actually getting a little disheartened when I found nothing. So I spent a few days in Pluckley, because of course Pluckley. I also spent time in Pevensey Castle (local to me), and a number of other places I was told were haunted, including a few grave yards as well. The only thing that genuinely creeped me out was the idea of running into a nutter in these places, I felt nothing paranormal, no fear, no sounds, noises, smells, nothing. So I completely changed my beliefs. I do still look for places that could change my option back, but as yet there hasn't been anything, and I am genuinely disappointed with that. I used to love ghost hunting, doing the research, getting spooked out, and so on. But now there is nothing spooky at all for me, and although the research is still fun, the lack of belief in actual ghosts can be annoying, and a little disheartening if I'm honest. Also, the substantial amount of bullshit channels that claim to have extreme paranormal experiences on every video makes a mockery of people that genuinely have strange experiences and who want to know the truth.

You've hit the nail on the head there. There are far too many clickbait videos and TV shows that discredit the entire existence of ghosts. I'm actually visiting Pluckley this have sent an email to the head of their neighbourhood watch and a few others asking if they believe any of it to be true.

Those were some unnerving paranormal stories. Thanks. Once my wife and I both saw a ghost descend our stairs one night. The air got cold and felt heavy. It glided quickly and then walked normally, like your sped up, slowed down spectre. I saw a luminous mist; but she briefly saw a man with a pained expression. We heard loud footsteps in the loft as well. Another time, we both got thumped by something in the antiquities area of the Louvre. It felt like an elbow by someone though we were completely alone in that part of the museum. I never had any other experiences like that in my entire life. I believe things just randomly happen and we can acknowledge our experiences or not. But there are lots of hoaxes on CZcams for sure.

I don't believe in ghosts but do in evil spirits. I experienced some strange events as a child. My father also saw a spirit in my grandmothers house in Ireland. The entity had a solid looking body but no face.

When i was little (probably about 6) I slept in the spare room where my Nana and Grandad slept when they stopped over at our house,Grandad had died about a month before this. The window was left open as it was a warm night and i remember waking up and seeing what I took to be a misty cloud hovering over me. I cried for my Mum who put it down to a nightmare, but I wondered if it was Grandad coming to see me

Had something of an odd experience when I was about 10 (1980) years old. Can’t & never have claimed it was anything paranormal however, it did make me question if ghosts exist or if the people who claimed they had seen a ghost were either mistaken or just blatantly lying.
Fast forward to 1993 and still intrigued, interested & curious on the subject, I find myself on an overnight stay at Chingle Hall near Preston. Chingle Hall is claimed not only to be haunted, but to be the “MOST” haunted house in Britain, how could I possibly turn this opportunity down.
We did have a number of inexplicable incidents occur that evening, none of which could be explained with any degree of rational or reasonable earthly explanation. It was the most bizarre experience I’ve ever encountered however, I’m still not 100% convinced beyond reasonable doubt that ghosts exist, on the same note, I’m not 100% convinced they don’t exist either. I do believe there is “something”, god knows what but “something” worthy of long term deeper research by an officially recognised scientific body.

Is it possible the father was playing a prank on you?

    • @ClarkesHorrors
      @ClarkesHorrors  Před 4 měsíci +2

Nope, he wasn't in, neither was the lodger. The house wasn't very big, and once I'd regained the courage, I was able to go back upstairs and see for myself. I did stop the argument, too, and it seemed to help.

Can I ask you a question please ?? Are you an empath ? I really get the vibe from you that you are , let’s call it a sensitive person, and I don’t mean sensitive in a soppy way.
You are susceptible to phenomena, probably one of the reasons you started this channel, you are also one of the bravest guys I have ever come across too.
The spirit of Jack was furious with you, and he really took offense to you when you started arguing, he (Jack) felt protective of your ex and didn’t like you arguing with her, he was trying to communicate, he even played her favorite track when the cd came back on.
You and your ex were both alive, Jack still felt alive, he kept having baths….he didn’t want the lodger in his room, as that was his room and he didn’t want any stupid Lego in it.
Jacks spirit was in a dream state, he hadn’t crossed over , because HE DIDN’T WANT TO, he couldn’t let go of his mortality, probably very unhappy with having had cancer…. I even suspect he grabbed the father by the throat because he was upset with him because of , well , maybe some argument he may have had with his daughter. ( don’t know am surmising ?) I think that Jack the spirit was attracted in some way to the daughter.
You will see more ghosts in due time, I would suggest seeing a medium , a reputable one and see if the ( other side ) have a plan in mind for you . Which I suspect they have, they are your best bet in giving counsel to areas you really should avoid.
Be aware people that Entities do EXIST people, they want nothing more than you getting hold of Ouji boards and letting them in , that’s why they exist.
Anyway I digress…keep on making these videos, glad that I subscribed.

That entire explanation actually does sound pretty feasible. I'd say I am an empath, yeah.
I certainly belive, but at the same time I'm a sceptic because of how much trickery and tomfoolery is out there, so I'm not sure about mediums! One of my ex's did visit one and was shocked by what they'd told her, but I always feel they likely have their ways of reading or researching people in advance, if that makes sense?

@@ClarkesHorrors When I lived in London, I quite often visited The Spiritualist Association of Great Britain situated in Belgravia Square not far from my home in Chelsea.
When my then husband’s mother died in Cyprus , we buried her out there next to her husband on a beautiful site flagged by Cypress trees ( important details in the story ) . When we returned home, my ex, a hardened senior detective in Scotland Yard, was going through the motions of…“Oh I wished I’d visited more often and was genuinely upset “ I suggested he visit the spiritualist Association to ease his mind that his mum was ok etc”
to my surprise he agreed and we booked an appointment and off we went.
Now as I say my husband being a detective had more or less seen it all, he wasn’t fanciful and only believed in hard facts, I waited in the car, it was the 80s and parking wasn’t as manic as it is now. When he came out of his appointment, he was white and clammy and shaking, That lady God rest her soul, knew facts , real facts about what had occurred in Cypress when we buried his mother, and even his late grandad appeared in the session, the medium describing him exactly.
I should say the Spiritualist Association really wanted me to become a medium as they said I was a natural with a real gift, I turned her down and I have an internal switch that will not allow that part of me to become a medium, for in my case it would be opening a Pandora’s box, I’m way to afraid.
I get scared watching your videos as it is.

I worked in an active building when I served in the RAF. I only saw the figure the once but heard him moving around on several occasions. I believe whole heartedly about "odd" things that happen and we just get on with life. Great vid fella.
