I appreciate your transparency with these conversations. I can definitely attest to these issues, both positive and negative. As I am currently on my second marriage, I can definitely assert that those stressers you spoke of can be the difference between a successful and a failing marriage. ESPECIALLY the finances. My ex-wife's parents bragged that she was a good budgeter and could handle the money; not the case. Worse, there was no concept of we when it came to paying bills. So we were always struggling, and it even lead to us getting evicted. As far as the different expectations, that is much more subjective, and varies from couple to couple. For instance, if my wife asks me to do something, and I may be preoccupied with something else, it has caused some friction, because her expectation is for me to do it right then and there, and I will want to do it shortly thereafter. So things like that can be stressful, IF you are not willing to make compromises to meet each other.

thats exactly true because i am in a long time relationship with my spouse and lets just say we keep to just us because my family is gossip grabbers and we don't like that and my family is the loud ones, on the other hand my fiance's family is kind of the same but we like to keep respect with one another and deal with family stuff with ourselves, but in the end we both make each other happy, he doesn't judge me for the way i look or with me being in a wheelchair and i am not shaming him for anything either, we have a daughter together and she is a miracle blessing because i was told i was never going to be able to have children but i do believe that god will bless me with child when i was financially ready and thats exactly what her did! so we have our good days and sometimes bad days but in the end we both love each other so much, and my fiance is into gardening as well and he has a big garden

it is ok to not be around family that is mean disrespectful rude or does harm. thats why its best to say no more contact with so and so. its to keeps you and your family safe. i had cousins that did drugs and drank and just had very bad attitudes. so i wasn't able to be around them by my self. plus i was 6 and they were 16 + yours of age. you have to remember family can hurt you just ask bad as any other person. kuz they are family doesnt mean you have to be friends with them.

Not married but I live with my partner. We definitely have the communication issue of me just sort of informing him of my plans when they are about to happen. What he does that bothers me is if I ask him a question, he will answer me and then say "Why?" I can't stand that lol
