    I think it's important to remember where 70-80% of the market is.... They're not racers, or hard-core offroaders. They're just weekend warriors, farmers, etc. They're not meant to be peak performance machines, they have whole lineups dedicated to that. These are machines for the masses.
    The 650 single is going to give you that low speed torque, wich is what most people want on the trail. The added storage features are huge. And the price points are a major factor. Especially when you consider CF moto moving into the space.
    As an average guy rider with limited funding.... This is a homerun.

    Best thing about this new 700 is that it might convince Yamaha to improve the Grizzly / Kodiak. Probably not though since it really just matches the Yamaha with a few added bells and whistles. Maybe not enough incentive to take the chance on the longevity, dealer network, lack of parts, etc. that people complain about with Can-Am.

    The manual is out for the 500/700. Some interesting facts in there. The air intakes for the XMR and the non-XMR seem to be the same, under the console in front of the handlebars. That would be simple to snorkel. Also, for some reason, the XT is the heaviest version at 858lbs. Wonder why?

    Sorry if I offend you, but that was the worst review of the new mid range quads that can am has come out with. Unless this channel is exclusively for racers? The pro 5 and 7 base are great machines that blow away everything else in those segments. And the pro xu 7, which I have is just an unbeatable machine. 3 power modes, 13 inch ground clearance, suspension travel, IEB, PS, true front locker and speed control are just a few things that not one other brand comes close to. Add the ease of being able to do maintenance or add accessories and can am just destroyed every other brand.

    • @AmotorB
      @AmotorB  Před 5 měsíci +1

      I see your point, However its best to remember where these atvs stand with the company. Can-Am is known for hi performance machines. Every other machine that doesn't fit that, isn't too good. Why? Because they are heavy, make a lot of noise, and aren't reliable. That is the truth. I'm not hating on canam. The whole point of what I do is to tell the truth and push people to save money in the long run. I don't side with any company including my own when a lie is told. That said I do believe these machines aren't too bad so far. The xmr 700 is the best of all of them. That machine is doing well on the market. Unfortunately for the rest. There a little bit off, but that's because they lack performance compared to the rest of canam's lineup. Especially the pro models. There not selling very well due the the price. That's why it's always good to look at the facts.

    comparing the new g3 models to the g2 is pointless.the whole idea of the new machines is to get new people/budget buyers and novice riders into a can am.nobody with an older model 570/650 is going to give these a second look when it's time for them to upgrade.that's what the can am big bores are for and probably why they were left alone.plus they just streamlined all the entry level machines into one platform which all the g3 accessories will fit.the whole debate is a non issue for a new rider/budget consumer,who these are most likely geared for and hp won't matter once the tuners get busy.
