Imagine the man that ends up with one of his daughters one day... God forbid the man ever has a argument with her, Frye would beat him to a pulp. Frye is a dead breed of men. You will not find anyone nowadays with his determination and will during a fight. Frye was a power house and a very smart fighter. One major thing about Frye is his ability to take damage it is almost inhuman on his pain threshold. Father Time has caught up to Frye but I can without a doubt say he’d kick my ass easy and he has me beat in age by 25 years.

I’m Japanese and my English sucks but I’ll try.
      •You did a great fight.
      •You lost but doesn’t matter.
      • I was shouting to you to stop that but you didn’t hear me at all(laugh)
•What happened to our plan we made? Nah let’s just forget it it was more than that (laugh)
•No it wasn’t a easy win for fry too .You made some good attacks, fry seemed to have damaged when you did this(or that punch etc)
•You both went crazy & both went nuts.
These are what they’re talking about.
Sorry maybe you don’t get my English.

I don't think the modern fighter have the chin and the raw resilience and the core muscle strength to take this kind of punishment.
I agree that skill levels have increased but I think one shot from a prime Don Frye would stagger a modern pedigree MMA fighter and a flurry of hits like this??? It would be lights out.
Just how tough Takayama is! He's 6'7 and he tanked so many massive blows from Frye that it just boggles belief.

Watch Godzilla final Wars captain Gordon is just so much fun😀 in fact all the captains in that movie have a cool Character gimmick but only captain Gordon is played by don frye it's also the movie where classic Godzilla kills the American Godzilla and they joke about it being a stupid monster and I loved captain Gordon before I even knew who don frye even was. I was actually watching a video of this very fight and I immediately said don frye is my favourite mma fighter and didn't make the connection between final wars until I went "holy shit" two days later because I remembered I had looked at the credits to see who played captain Gordon and it said don frye and at the time I didn't know who that was but anyways I'm cleaning the parking lot at work and 'click' my brain went wait don frye you mean captain Gordon and my brain went ya same face and haircut and everything (pulls out phone goes imdb) holy shit the guy who fought a giant Japanese monster the best also fought a giant Japanese monster the best😮😮😮

Sure is different for pro wrestlers fighting in Japan. In America, you lose a fight, you don't get an ovation. On your way back, you don't raise your hands. No one would clap for you in the locker room.
