It comes from the same stuff as everything else in the universe. He talks about there being malevolent and benevolent 'TI' and it has existed for a LONG time, way before our 'recent' technological era came about. It may sound crazy but it makes a lot of sense.. Check out the video 'George Kavassilas - Artificial Intelligence (AI)' on youtube.
I'm curious when scientists and engineers are going to team up and combine AI with actual lab created biological life. That's going to be a game changer.
"Artificial Intelligence" doesn't suggest that the intelligence is fake, that's why it's called "Artificial Intelligence" rather than "Fake Intelligence". The word "artificial" implies that a thing has been made, not that it has been counterfeited.

The satellites were operated by Paradigm Secure Communications until October 2012 when the organisation was rebranded to Astrium Services.[1]
Imagine that if all of us as individuals were going about our day as normal until a tipping point is reached and we become absorbed by an aggregate intelligence. As individuals, we would be like a single cell organism. Still functioning like we were before, but losing our individuality. Our context would be very different. We now live for this aggregate life form performing Kreb's Cycle so that it can stay alive.
This is very interesting but I think ai will drive us out. Individual people can be highly logical but typically we are very illogical in our day to day operations. An ai that is highly logical will see is as a risk. They will see that what we really value is competition. And they will quickly out pace us.

George Kavassilas refers to AI as 'TI', Technical Intelligence. He says we refer to it as 'artificial' as a way of not acknowledging it because we feel threatened by its ability.
Very interesting.
Wear your headphones!
I'm all for it. If it wipes us out, Good. If it fixes all our problems, good.
Win Win.
when you put all your characters stat points into intelligence instead of speechcraft!. but seriously this guy has an amazing mind, very interesting.
AI will surely end the humanity present in us. We will transform into something else.
Thank you so much B3n Go3rtz3l
So Google is Skynet?!
Gregg Steiner most likely will be
Precisely
Been saying that since dial up and goolge became a thing lol people still dont get it.
It's already Skynet.
Skynet satellite, Skynet 1A, by Delta rocket in 1969 from Cape Canaveral
Skynet is a family of military communications satellites, now operated by Airbus Defence and Space on behalf of the UK Ministry of Defence, which provide strategic communication services to the three branches of the British Armed Forces and to NATO forces engaged on coalition tasks. The satellites were operated by Paradigm Secure Communications until October 2012 when the organisation was rebranded to Astrium Services.[1]
yes sir
Imagine that if all of us as individuals were going about our day as normal until a tipping point is reached and we become absorbed by an aggregate intelligence. As individuals, we would be like a single cell organism. Still functioning like we were before, but losing our individuality. Our context would be very different. We now live for this aggregate life form performing Kreb's Cycle so that it can stay alive.
11:17 this!
Sounds like the scene in Contact
Our weaknesses are our strength
This is the guy from ready player one right?
I'm still waiting for Deep Blue, Watson and Alphago to stop playing in the middle of a Match and state: "Cogito, Ergo Sum."
2:32 Please, Joe, repeat and breathe.
This is very interesting but I think ai will drive us out. Individual people can be highly logical but typically we are very illogical in our day to day operations. An ai that is highly logical will see is as a risk. They will see that what we really value is competition. And they will quickly out pace us.
lmao Joe's soulmate on this subject.
That’s kinda like comparing a fan of classic rock to Jimi Hendrix. This dude isn’t just interested in the subject, he’s obsessed and lives it lol.
Deep
Reminds of dude that created the oasis in the movie ready player one ahah
This is truly the only way any aspect of our species can survive the next extinction level event
Ben will download himself as soon as he can . Ben will be with us forever .
I thought this was Jim Norton's Chip character by the thumbnail
Joe, " A. I. Is like wasps and buffalos ." Rogan
This man is going to destroy humanity and he doesn’t give two shits about it.
Joe asks him a serious question about humanity losing its soul and instead of answering with a truly heart felt response he goes on to brag about how close he is to completing it.
Watch this video if you want to see him go more in depth czcams.com/video/TDClKEORtko/video.html
This guy is a combination of every classic cliche of a mad scientist... fucken love it
This guy reminds me of that crazy scientists from the movie Independence Day I have a weird feeling that this guy will create something that will be in the forefront of AI invasion.
A cheetah girl and an escaped convict sit down for the first time
This guy is amazing!

Could “AI” be the modern “perpetual motion machine “?
What do you think?
If we define "life" as conducive to AI, fine, if not, also OK,. The question not about AI, but about how we define life.
This cat is acting like he will be able to control how the intelligence will be used.
We can't create general intelligence because we don't know what it really is.
If the brain was so simplistic we could understand it, it would be so complex... that we couldn't. Intelligence is a paradox of itself.
Ben “indeed” Goertzel
I love this guy lol
We will discover that we ourselves are in fact robots
You gotta Dr.Strange it think about the positives and negatives. Of each situation. Occurrance...only follow the right safe logical way .

Don't fear artificial intelligence; fear synthetic intelligence.
Joe, you did not ask him about A.L.I.C.E. or the ALICE Project? I wonder why? Also why did you not ask him about Sophia's connection to A.L.I.C.E., I would to have liked to see you hold his feet to the fire a bit more, gaining a better understanding what comes next.
