I’m a Titans fan so it’s safe to say I don’t care about the Purdy conversation either way but I will say this , even if you think he’s just a game manager or that he’s successful just because he has a good team around him, the bottom line is you still have to execute and make plays. No one can say he hasn’t done that.

Even If you defer, and Mahomes scores a touchdown on the first possession, 49ers score a td on their possession and then Mahomes only need a fg that 3rd possession. It’s honestly a lose-lose situation when facing Mahomes. 49ers needed a Touchdown on that 1st possession for their plan to work.

brock purdy has proven himself to be good in shanahan’s offense with 4 all pros on his side of the ball. nothing more and nothing less. we watched matt ryan be above average for a decade and then be the mvp and lead the 8th highest scoring offense in nfl history and go to the superbowl in one year with shanahan as OC. we saw jimmy g go to the superbowl in 2019 after a 13-3 season and a 105 passer rating under shanahan, and then go be one of the worst QBs in the league in a different offense. nothing is proven about purdy.
