What happened was that the plane before had repairs done to one of its engines, however it was done improperly and a peace fell off, laying on the runway, then this plane began takeoff and while going down the runway, the left tire hit the peace and it went right into the fuel tank in the left, causing the fatal accident

context: On July 25, 2000, at Charles De Gaulle Airport in Paris 4590 droop snoop and then began taxiing to the runway although a DC10 debris fell off after takeoff where Concorde was gonna takeoff soon the supersonic aircraft speeding through the runway and was too fast to abort the takeoff and the DC10 debris hit the fuselage causing a tire blow out and the consuming the plane in flames captain marteen lift the supersonic plane off the runway 30 seconds of airborne the supersonic plane crashes through a hotel in pairs leading 109 passengers and 9 crew members presumed dead. @@gharatpiyush7283The plane was really safe! The only accident that is this was due to a part that came loose from Continental's Mcdonell Douglas DC-10, the plane was retired because it consumed morbid amounts of fuel. The parts were also not cheap and it was very expensive to maintain.
@@DustyXl6 fuel was cheap that time but suddenly a hike take up in fuel price leading to higher cost to fly such fuel hungry machine.
@@DustyXl6 so if it was really safe why can't 3 person(caption , co-pilot, flight engineer)could control it? It's because its High speed which is difficult to control in emergency situations. Basically a plane is considered safe when it can be controlled in difficult situations.

I just noticed that the concords lowered nose makes the actual cockpit look like its worried, quite cute when you get expressions from machines like the jeep and others (im not a jeep lover its just the angry jeep is the only one i can remember because one of my neighbors has it)
For those who don't know:A debris was on the runway getting sucked into the engine, and with loss of speed it caused the plane to crash. True fact that a small piece of rock can end your life in a second.

In autumn 1972, Léna was told that he, Turcat, and their teams could begin work, but that no firm decision would be made about the flight before February 1973. On February 2, it was announced that the flight would proceed. The scientists were able to carry out a test flight with their equipment on May 17, 1973, in their maiden supersonic flight. The final 2 hour and 36 minute rehearsal flight took place on June 28.[2]

At 10:08 GMT on June 30, 1973, Concorde 001 departed Las Palmas, Gran Canaria piloted by André Turcat and Jean Dabo.[3][1] Aboard the flight were Turcat and Dabo; flight mechanic Michel Rétif; radio navigator Hubert Guyonnet; Henri Perrier; and astronomers Léna, Beckman, Donald Hall, Donald Liebenberg, Alain Soufflot, Paul Wraight, and Serge Koutchmy.[2]
The plane intercepted the path of totality over Mauritania within 1 second of the time they had planned to rendezvous[1] and flew at an altitude of 58,000 feet at Mach 2.[4] Mauritania closed its airspace to commercial air traffic to ensure the success of the Concorde's flight.[1] The aircraft flew in the lunar shadow over the Sahara including Mali, Nigeria, and Niger, before landing in Fort-Lamy (present-day N'Djamena), Chad.[4]
On the ground on Earth, the longest possible viewing of totality from a fixed location was 7 minutes and 4 seconds.[Note 1] The Concorde experienced 74 minutes of totality with an extended second contact of 7 minutes and extended third contact of 12 minutes.[3][6]
