I’m a 62 year old rock/punk devotee and long time bass player. Watching these young ladies play terrific pop punk music fills my heart with pure joy.
Honestly it doesn’t even feel very pop. It’s pretty spot on. Like the timbre of it all, the way the Melodie’s go n everything feels real deal. Not that there’s anything wrong with Pop punk and maybe I just don’t know where the boundary line is but they go pretty hard
I agree! At seventy, they bring me pure joy as well. I love this band, they are the real deal. All that youthful energy is beautiful.
Blows my mind that a preteen wrote the brilliant line, "Life just keeps on giving, despite all my bad decisions, I'm still here and I'm still living."
I’m male and five times older than Mia and I really like The Linda Lindas. I have an Eloise “Bassists Against Racists” t-shirt, and I wear it!
You are gay
The sister's dad is a major recording engineer so that really helped them in their bandmanship.
Song Setlist:
1. Oh! 0:06
2. Talking to Myself 7:10
3. Too Many Things 11:12
4. Nino 15:20
5. Racist Sexist Boy 19:15
Thanks!
Mila's vocals and drumming prowess just continue to amaze me, for how young she is, this band is definitely on a rocket ship and I am 100% onboard to see where they go!! I rock my LL's hoodie constantly. Can't wait til they get back to the Bay Area, now, that I am not terrified about COVID (though it is still a thing). LOL!
She does have a great teacher from what I heard and that always helps.
Seriously, how are they so bloody good?! Such excellent songwriters!
Thank you KCRW for supporting the youth! Thank you to the Linda Lindas for inspiring US!
If only they could support the talented and creative. Or maybe any dumb little ladies in braces should be given just as much attention. EGALITARIANISM!!!!!!!!!!!! WE RULE!!!!!!!!!!!
Totally !!!
No one is inspired by this cr*p.
Whenever I see these girls perform, I can't help but have these "proud dad/uncle" moments, which always bring me tears of joy.
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one!
Don't worry, I estimate this kind of reaction to them is true for a quarter of their following - blokes above 50 who somewhat were their age when punk first came up, and who have been collecting music for the larger portion of their lives.
Seriously. Punk is in good hands.
@@tz4637if you like commercial Disney punk then yeah
I've been playing bass longer than Eloise has existed, and she is one of my favorite bass players.
Bea melted my heart.
I got see these ladies open up for Paramore the other night, and WOW, I was blown away!
Great stuff, I hope they continue to evolve and prove people wrong by succeeding without losing their edge
The music scene needs this energy so badly.
Super props to KCRW for the awesome audio mix!
One of My favorites banda right now..i love THE linda lindas ❤
I see these young ladies rocking out and it reminds me of my nieces and i want to see them excel in music and life and keep kicking ass becuase they are creating things that many of us will go to our graves never having the guts to try and accomplish. Rock on!
I've been playing since 78. 25 years of that in Nashville. Blues. Rock. Country. Played and wrote it All. They're better than I'll ever be or was. Thanks for giving them the stage. 😊😎🤘
thought the KIA Forum shows were the best on here....but this is awesome.....with the geat sound from this studio you can hear how good they've gotten.....rocking hard and tighter than ever......Eloise has gotten so good on bass...used to have a few melodic lines, now some really melodic lines all through the set......cruchier and harder....and everyone is catching up to Mila
"Oh!" straight up rocks!
And getting heavy on the last one to close it out.
Right on!!
Omg I love these girls!! You rock!
I want more...
Love this! Great sound production by KCRW. Adding this to my collection of Linda Lindas sessions.
The Linda Lindas rekindled my love of rock, punk, and pop. It's been a long time since we've been able to watch a group discovering themselves and grow and change. But, the unique thing about The Linda Lindas is as young and small as the group is (4 piece), they sound HUGE. They fill the stage. Four vocalists who can sing lead, harmony, fill and backup on any song and four strong instrumentalists, with zero shyness who just GO for it... amazing. And always with joy. Love the way Mila just grins after every song! They are far more together than any other band of any age, and they LOVE the music. Which, by the way, they also love writing. I've got their EP, their LP, three of their tees. Definitely a serious fan, at 72.
When was this recorded? Eloise was on crutches since July 11. Was hoping she was all healed up, but Mila said something about just finishing the school year, so was this end of June?
We shot it on June 7th
@@angiescarpa9429 Thanks. And thanks for putting it together. It's a great session!
Anyone know how Eloise is doing? Hope she's off those crutches and back to her normal bouncy self soon!
Fantastic 😊
There is a hope to rock & roll.
👍 Great live performance! It doesn't matter that the dad of 2 of the members is in the music industry. They mostly got where they are at now because they are very talented young musicians with very likeable personalities with a great background story. A lot people happen to like those things and qualities about them. They have a very supportive loving family and crew. That doesn't mean they got shortcuts and cheated their way into a career in music like some jealous haters on here and on the Epitaph records YT channel like to think. To all the jealous hateful trolls: Just because your rockstar fantasies didn't come true doesn't mean you have to hate on the Linda Lindas for being able to do what you couldn't do.
Been following them for over 2 years now. They're an honest-to-god self-organized organic garage band! And, they're NERDS! Super-nerdy about music, the scene, musical history (especially, but hardly limited to, punk). And they're FANS and will wax poetic about their idols and heros. Sure, they've grown up around the "scene" and their dad has a recording studio in the house, but that scene and their dad is pure Indie, not big label. And while they're super-tight as a group (the sisters' harmony is something, but so are all 4 of them in synergy) one look at their joyful bouncing on stage proves they're not carefully choreographed!
And Joy is the word.. You can tell they love what they're doing. Check out Mila's grin after EVERY song!
@@SunsetVid true :D
Great sound, great to watch them grow up and improve.
😊
These 4 are very impressive for their age. I didn’t see decent bands until high school & I didn’t start composing decent songs until I was 17. It took me even longer to start adding vocals to them. These 4 are doing it all way earlier.
I grew up listening to punk music 🎵 and these girls as a band really really make our music to the top again! In my own Billboard magazine
Great New Band!
In my 50's and seen many great band's, absolutely love the energy and sound of this band. So good to hear a fresh young talented band. From a music lover.
I think this is the best version of racist sexist boy that I’ve heard live from them so far ❤❤❤
They're great!
Jack Black’s School of Hard Rock had more talent than these cringy shitty adult women in braces.
This is the perfect storm these young people are AWSOME
Iinda lindas rock.
"Can I Hug You?" Such a sweet moment.
Крутыыышки!
the drummer grew so fast
She's quite the natural wonder. She's comfortable, confident, and lyrical on the drums, and SHE SINGS LEAD on a bunch of songs. WHILE drumming. When she's not singing backup or harmony, and playing the drums like a pro. How is that even possible? Oh, and she writes songs, too. And she's TWELVE!
@@SunsetVid yeap
i like their threads their music is kinda fun and exciting yet also assaultive like how they smile a lot
Like Eloise, and probably a lot of bass players, we all got "stuck" with bass because it's either no one wants to play bass or all other instruments have been taken. But I totally agree with Eloise when she said that bass is an excellent instrument to get stuck with.
My mate linked me to this saying he didn't like the music and I said he was daft for it. These ladies are bringing back 70s punk in their own way.
They just get better and better, i´m a fan.
How can they be worse???
B its so aweet 🤗
Oh my God, I love these powerful young women! Awesome punk rock! And they’re still wearing braces! Love it!
la energia que trasmiten, se nota mucho que estan pasandola super bien tocando xD lml
My wife caught me watching this band on youtube and be like..whattt??its refreshing to see you watching female band..its usually deathcore and metal band..haha..
可愛い
WOW! This is band is the new punk :) full of energy!
this is some good sh*t right here
Big ups to Bee!!
The drummer carries the band
"What can I do, What can I do?" Well, you are doing it ...
62才です。カラオケでリンダリンダを歌っていました。ぜひ日本に来てください。
It was a terrific show. Thank you so much, KCRW!! I wish KCRW added "FINE" including Eloise's monologue about the song to the video. I think we need the spirit of this song so much.
Love these Kids.Just as good as many of the Bands I saw back in the day on the Lower East Side.Except they're younger and better than a lot of them.Rooting hard for the LL's. Peace to All.
well they know how to play and sing and having fun vg
Yooo milla so cute
so cool😂
Please play in HIROSHIMA!
this is from HIROSHIMA.
Awesome stuff - keep jammin'; you're making a real difference!
03:05 explote de ternura xd
Good shit!!😂
i hear the Go-Gos in there.
Yet better, more just more
Awesome band!! Greetings from Argentina!
Opening for Paramore now! Wow!!!
Awesome! I've loved this band for while now, so great for them!
En medio de tanto reggeatton y sus derivados, estas chicas son como un oasis en el desierto.
When other girls are crazy about K-pop, these girls don't seem to care. And I'm grateful for that. Thank almighty punk God, Thank you Linda Lindas, for playing the music right
I really want them to cover Shonen Knife's banana chips.
They should collaborate. Inevitably
Or I'm Blue the 5 6 7 8s
For me, Eloise (sp?) is the most advanced on her instrument.
14:09 though your not great at your instruments…yet, what happens when you 4 play together and the hooks you write are fantastic!!!
I saw you open for Paramore 2 weeks ago in St Paul, and your the only thing I care to listen to now going on 2 weeks.

11:06 ish "it's not too late" from the mouths of babes. (Rousseau didn't hit till his 70s.)
The maturity and awareness of these girls amazes. If you listen to the drummer and think he is only 12 years old ...
And I'm an old sexist-racist...well, dude, let's say, but even I like you, boys! ;))
The Asian lad looks 15
there is space for you, there are two liters drinkable fresh water for you, there are onethousand calories of food a day for you, wellcome to our earth
I’m 72. Am I too old?
You get to sort the fan mail
another something I noticed in a non-musical way.....Eloise, who seems to take all the songs with a punk growl to 'em, the tough scream in your face one, gave little Beatrice the warmest hug of the group, almost motherly...guess part of her mission to support women of all types...and ages
race is exist boy 🙄
.One of them is a little boy. Is he "Linda" as well ?
Get your eyesight checked asap, that's 4 girls on stage...
It’s a Girl with short hair dumb@ss
You know they are kids, are they trying to make pedos or sth?
Come on, what is that interview question?
"What would you say to up and coming artists?"
Have parents in the industry.
Really? Get a life...
@@thereturnofthemac Are all their parents super rich? Moderately well off for sure, but is that a crime and does it rule out their kids from forming a band? The viral video happened for a reason, and wasn't anything to do with money. The right (very primitive) song at the right time, from the right (then also primitive) juvenile band. At least one of the parents was running a punk club in L.A. and putting on great bands both old and new, plus publishing a fanzine, and another had played in a 90s punk band themselves. If you study their beginnings and influences (use Google...) I think you will find that The Linda Lindas are not a pre-fab Monkees type band by any means.
Why do they have to keep mentioning race and gender? Are they not aware that punk rock was mostly women in the 90s?
Hay mucho talento y profesionalismo en estas 4 hermosas señoritas. Me encantan. Saludos desde Chile. Agosto 8 de 2023.
these kids are alright
