Another great video sir. Partridge in this way (Pasadena)seem to be scarce, I've only seen 2 in the 12 years I've been here. Lately even a grouse seems hard to come by. Really enjoyed the trip. Thanks for taking us along. Looking forward to the next one.

Awesome keep the videos coming. A tip if I may......to get some of the far away shots you can use your cell phone (for a short 8-10 sec shot) through a spotting scope (if you have one or more importantly can afford one). Basically just look through the spotting scope with your phone camera.Then you just edit the footage in with the rest of your camera footage as you make your video.
I know the spotting scope can be a bit of a chore to lug around depending on size. Either way still love the videos and keep them coming.
I am enjoying these videos as much as I do the Meateater series ones (highly recommend any woods lover check them out.)

I GOT A PROBLEM WITH PEOPLE THAT DON'T TAKE THE LEG'S WHEN CLEANING THE BIRD , NOT THE AMERICAN STYLE OF STEPPING ON THE WINGS AND PULLING THE WINGS JUST TO TAKE THE BREAST MEAT ,WE PLUCKED OUR BIRDS AND HAD AWHOLE BIRD TO ROAST AS TAUGHT BY OUR PARENTS AND NOT TO WASTE AS IS SO COMMON IN TODAY'S WORLD.

I just got back last week from 5 days ruffed grouse hunting in Quebec. Heck of a lot different in deep woods, but just as hard. 🙂. I bagged a few, saw lots, but they bugger off into the thick stuff so fast I couldn’t take a shot on several. Still, it was a great time.

I may be wrong but I hope you realize you're not allowed to shoot partridge with a small game license this year only snare them. If you don't believe me look at the return of your small game license
