- Sweden’s Aquamarine Kokoshnik Tiara is one of the most gorgeous within its vaults, especially in the hands of Princess Madeleine.
On this Tiara Tuesday, we’ll explore the history and legacy of this magnificent Tiara!
It’s been worn by many princesses within the Swedish royal household, but it is probably best suited to Princess Madeleine, who has the most gorgeous set of blue eyes in any monarchy.

Blue dress, blue eyes, and blue tiara. Stunning look for Madeline.
The Aquamarine Tiara is absolutely magnificent especially on Princess Madeleine with her blue eyes and blue dress it really sets it off. ❤💎⭐️👏
The picture of Madeleine with the kids is really moving. They all look so happy 😍
Thank You this Aquamarine Tiara is my favorite. Princess Madeleine wears this best. I am a fan of Catherine, Princess of Wales in the Cambridge Lovers Knot over Diana photos. Diane fair complexion and blond hair hides the Tiara. Catherine's hair and skin tone makes it sing. Before the stoning starts, I am a pale blonde and know there colors I look better in. I did rock blue eye liner with Lady Di.
Yes, I think the Cambridge Lovers Knot looks FABULOUS on Catherine!! She looks stunning in it, but I hope we get to see more too!
Her eyes 👀 makes it’s beauty explode!!!
Yep, her blue eyes are just want I think makes it really stand out! Thanks for watching!!
It’s like it was made for her
Ooh, the tiara is stunning. Every picture was perfection 😍
3:57 It’s not Princess Sylvia- that’s the current Kings wife’s name. His mothers name was actually Princess Sibylla of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha😅😅
It is a beautiful tiara! 💙
This is one of my favorite blue stone tiaras; I would also love to see something about one of the many turquoise tiaras out there in royal land 👸🏻
Love Tiara Tuesday! This is one of my favs. Love Madeleine and this tiara matches her eyes perfectly!
Princess Madeline ROCKS those gorgeous aquamarines! The modern fringe tiara can Not do it justice . Those are the most stunning Aquamarines I have EVER seen, anywhere!!! ❤️👑👸🏿👸🏾👸🏽👸🏻👑❤️
She looks like a queen when she wears it. It is stunning!
It’s Tiara Tuesday!!! Not only gorgeous Tiaras but history and tea parties too. Appreciate all your hard work!
This is one of my favourite tiaras. Aquamarines are so gorgeous!
It certainly is a statement piece, imagine if Princess Diana wore such a piece 😍
It would have looked amazing on her!! Thanks for watching!!
Aquamarine is one of my favorite stones and that tiara is beautiful.
The addition band of diamond's at the base appear to add some lift and possibly help the weight distribution.
I hope the broach still exists and wouldn't a matching pair of diamond/aquamarine ear rings be a stunning addition.
Thanks for sharing.
You can actually see it in one of the pictures of Princess Margaretha! So yes, it does exist!
She does look stunning and I love how the dress, tiara, and eyes all complement each other. It was so special to see her really go all out to make this a very special day for the children. It was lovely to see.
This definitely ranks up there as one of my fav's!!
this is one of the prettiest royal tiara
This is so fascinating! I love this video...I never realized how these tiaras were so connected to history. Bravo!
That is the most beautiful tiara I have ever seen!!!
Love your new channel, Tiara’s and their history are truly amazing☺️ Thank you for such a huge effort in your research on each piece and it is fascinating to learn about them 🥰👑
Aww, thank you so much!! The Court Jeweller has been an incredible resource!
That tiara is lovely but that German lattice work one you pictured needs it’s own video too!!
Oh yes!! It will get its own video too! It’s such an interesting looking piece! Thanks for watching!!
It's the Prussian Meander Kokoshnik Tiara.
So beautiful on her! Thank you for sharing. 👸
Her eyes brings it out ❤
Aquamarine is now my favourite gemstone!
It’s a beautiful Tiara and perfect for Madeleine. I’m going over and reviewing what I’ve missed or failed to comment. I love this channel. Great job. Congratulations!
Such a lovely photo with the children.
The mother of King Carl Gustav was Sibylla ( not Silvia!) of Saxe Coburg Gotha....by the way: Prince Albert, the husband of Queen Victoria came from the same duchy seated in Coburg, my hometown
The german Kokoshnik style tiara you showed is worn by Princess Sophie of Prussia, wife of Friedrich who is the head of the family of Prussia. Love, love, love your channel!
I 💙 tiara Tuesday!
I love Tiara Tuesday!!! Thank you 😊
Love this one can't wait to see the next.
0:44 what a gorgeous earrings & tiara set… so perfect with that dress & her blue eyes! That tiara has got to be one of my favorite tiaras you’ve shown!
What a great idea to have a fairytale lunch. Looks eally dreamy and beautiful. Your pictures of tiara are very clear. Thank you.
Love Tiara Tuesday!
Gorgeous tiara, gorgeous Princess ❤
Hair is perfect too
Getting here late due to a mad couple of days but wowzer Brittany, you didn't disappoint! That picture of her with the children melted my heart. And the tiara on Princess Madeleine is truly made for her. Thanks for a brilliant video!
It’s such a wonderful event! I’m so bummed the video is no longer available! Thanks for watching!!
lt would be great to be a fly on the wall to see Kate, and Camilla playing around with the tiaras! They have SO MUCH choice! lt would be like a candy store! l just am so happy with Kate, and Wiliam! GOOD JOB!
Thank you so much!! I hope we something new and fun with Catherine and Camilla!!
I think they are both far too cautious to totally go overboard with wearing new tiaras, especially the ones that are heavily associated with the late queen and therefore stuck on our minds as being hers exclusively (they are no longer, of course). I do not expect such gems as The Girls of Great Britain and Ireland or the Queen Mary Fringe or the Grandduchess Vladimir to make an appearance that soon after her demise. It's much more likely that Queen Camilla and the Princess of Wales will wear what they usually do. If we are extremely lucky, then the Queen will hopefully sport the Delhi Durbar Tiara for that event. But I think she will not. As for Catherine... she doesn't strike me like an overly adventurous person in that regard. She likes to play it safe.
@@dorisschneider-coutandin9965 ~ Agreed. The girls of Great Britain and Ireland especially! Thats the one all over our money, and l've never seen anyone else in it. lt suited her perfectly! Maybe Catherine, in time, but l cant see Camilla ever wearing it.
Loved 💙
Just sayin', Brittany, I love your channels! You do a fabulous job with each of them.👑💎👑
She gave the kids at the tea party exactly what they wanted. To see a real princess! Sooo thoughtful and sweet.
Princess Madeline is always beautiful!
I had to look this up after you mentioned it. I see why you like it so much. It has such a ethereal look to it. So very delicate, as if it should be purched on the head of a fairy princess. I have basically read up on the history of crowns without much interest in tiaras most of the time. So I didn't know much about the kinds. I find that I really love the kokoshnik style as well as the bandeau style. Of course these are also the ones that look best on me. Ha! Ha! 😅😂 I also like the ones they call the fringe tiaras. I wonder why? 🤔 😂
I think this my favorite tiara! So I was excited to see this episode!
Also I feel like they should make something similar for Victoria with big brown gemstones. That would really go well with her eyes. Maybe Brown tourmaline or something or even brown diamonds but that would be more expensive.
Ooh, that would be cool! And I don’t feel like there’s any tiara in that color either! It would be unique!! Thanks for watching!!
This tiara and the late Queen Elizabeth II's Brazilian aquamarine are my favorites and my birthstone
I think it fits swedish royalty because it compliments the colors of the swedish flag. IMO.
Stunning! I prefer this tiara to the Brazilian Aquamarine Tiara worn by the late Queen Elizabeth II. It's more feminine, imo.
The Brazilian Aquamarine is unattractive in my opinion! Thanks for watching!!
I'm glad you post on tuesday, I wonder what gets more views, your tiara videos or meghan's podcast lol
Haha, Meghan’s definitely gets more views initially, but these will continue to grow as they’re more evergreen! Thanks for watching!!
I think her and Princess Catherine of England would make a great team
0:30 oh my! Those earrings look heavy! I’ve torn an earlobe before; I don’t know how hers are intact with earrings that look so heavy!
Those earrings you mentioned are not flattering at all. Besides, they really aren't very pretty and are a distraction to the tiara.
Make a video about the Danish ruby tiara usually worn by Crown Princess Mary. It's my favorite.
I follow this channel and its fun and interesting! Especially when it's about sweden where I'm from 🙂
Aww, I’m so glad you’re enjoying it!!
Thank you 😊
Thanks Brittany thouroughly enjoyed this.
Esa tiara es la más bella de todas
It’s so stunning!!
Thank you so much, Brittany - really love this series💕 I’m wearing my tiara (toy!) and modest aquamarine earrings while watching - feels very special so might keep wearing while doing housework later🤣 Best wishes from Australia.
Princess Madeleine wears it best because if you look at how it comes to a point at the top it is very similar to the way her chin rests. So it makes it very symmetrical from top to bottom as well as left to right. As well as of course the stone setting off her eyes my mother had eyes like that I wish I inherited those but the shape of it also suits her face shape
It is a stunning tiara! The Swedish Royals I tend to follow more out of the foreign Royals (I'm British). Princess Madeleine seems to be a lovely woman- she has a private life but also manages to serve the Monarch, The King, in her own ways.
Yep, she does it right!
Well, it's official, I want a tiara! 😊
Oh, me too!!
Ok, this Tiara is my absolute favorite! 💙👑💙Oh my, it's STUNNING, (especially on Madeleine with her brilliant blue eyes)! Blue Topaz has always been my go to favorite (for personal jewelry, as I'm not blessed with wealth), but the color & sparkle of those exquisite, enormous Aquamarine gems literally took my breath away! My father was Swedish & German (in fact, he was a Baron from the German side, hence I inherited my title from him, but that is of a more recent generation granted by Kaiser Wilhelm III). The Swedish side of my family was of the aristocracy going back hundreds of years. It's truly fascinating, but I don't know nearly as much as I'd love to about the complex history of my Swedish ancestors. Just as Hitler rose to power, my grandparents were on the verge of divorce. My Grandmother fled back to Sweden with some of her possessions, and my 18 year old father, his brother and German Grandfather escaped to South Africa to help with the Allies war efforts against the Nazis. Unfortunately, World War 2 lost so much of my family's estates & possessions, as my father's parents had to quickly flee Germany to avoid being sucked in to the Nazi party, and what wasn't confiscated was destroyed in the bombings. Whew! Anyway, I feel such a lovely sort of passion and fascination with the Swedish Royal Family, and this was a delightful slice of history with a stunning Tiara as the shining star of the show! Thank you for another excellent Tiara Tuesday, love you Honey! 💖
My question is these Tiaras, can never have any type of hair spray on your hair. Is this true?
Blue eyes do enhance the tiara.
She is beautiful. Love your channel. 👍🏻
You know, I’m not sure, but that might be the case as the metal is resting directly on their head, instead of having a felt covering. That’s something to look into for sure! Thanks for watching!!
@@RoyalFashionNews Thank you,for your great channel. 👍🏻
The hairspray - if at all - has to be applied to the coiffure a good while before the tiara will be mounted into it. To spray it on with the tiara in place would mean to ruin the exquisit shine of the gemstones. After removing the tiara, it still has to be cleaned thoroughly, so no traces of chemicals of whatever sort remain on the precious metals and stones.
I expect that hairspray would be especially deleterious to pearls
@@dorisschneider-coutandin9965 Thank you for the information. Appreciate it.
I've often wonder and now I know.
Thank you.
My son's dad is Irish. And he has almost black hair and he has ice blue eyes. My son has his eyes as well but his hair is actually a dark copper color.
Brittany that tiara is BEAUTIFUL!’n
That looks like it was made just for her too! I remember Queen Elizabeth also has Aquamarine crown or tiara? Am I wrong?
Queen Elizabeth does have an aquamarine tiara, but it’s not the best looking in my opinion! Thanks for watching!!
@@RoyalFashionNews I agree. The British aquamarine tiara needs a new setting.
Awesome video Brittany! This tiara is particularly beautiful and showcases Madeleine’s best features so well. I especially love the photos of the tea party for the sick children.
Any suggestions on where we can buy replicas? 😂
I think it's not just Madeleine's blue eyes, but also the lighter shade of brown for her hair. Victoria in it with her hair that's such a dark brown that's almost black the light blue jewels didn't pop the same.
9:37 how sweet! Those children had to have been excited to see a princess in royal attire, especially with how amazing that tiara looks on her. To kids, I can see how she might have seemed to have stepped out of a fairy tale… but maybe that’s my American speaking; I don’t know if countries with royals get used to seeing them attired like such 🤷♀️
In case you are interested, Germans do not pronounce "th" like English. Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, the Gotha would not be pronounced Gotha like Gothic. The "th" is a hard "T" so it would be pronounced Go-Tah.
Ah, that’s very helpful!! Thank you so much!!
Sorry have I heard good the mother of the present king of Sweden is Sofia of Saxe Cobourg Gotha ???
You arexwrong her name was Sybilla .
Princess Madeline cares about children, and I like her for that.
I must admit I am not a fan of this tiara. But it does look amazing on Princess Madeline.
There were probably privacy issues with the tea party video
Probably, but I know Madeleine posted it I believe. It was official video, probably by the charity. Thanks for watching!!
Her name was Sybilla the Swedish name and I’m English Sybil not Silwia.
Is it sure that the Koch brothers created this piece, because my research shows that the jeweller is unknown and it only bears a striking resemblance to the general style of the Koch brothers?
I think too that her eyes look so ice blue is because her hair is a darker shade of blonde. Even more brown which makes blue eyes stand out even more
What a wonderful thing for her to do for sick children.
🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
It's pretty, but could be overwhelming on certain people.
You could probably pull it off, Brittany.
Aww, thank you!! I would love to wear it for sure!! Thanks for watching!!
It irks me to no end to see Camilla in the royal jewelry.
Hi! Please do try to say Tee-ah-rah, because all I can hear from your way of pronouncing it is "Tee-ahr", and that sounds quite sloppy for such lovely pieces of jewellery. No offense!
Have to say do not like the red nail polish with the blue beaded dress and tiara…
Holdingbolag controll on your talk.....if it is rigth. You have not controll on your fakts and not controll over the persons and titles. 👎
11:11 lol
