Been doing this job for over 40 years in Edmonton Canada. It's a tough job but when the day is done and you look back at what you did that day you feel the Ironworker pride. Great job guys. Trust me when I say we all hate doing the earthquake headers on the cores.
A lot of organisation to get a lot of skilled people working together on a big project like that.well done everyone
I can almost smell that smell concrete high rise construction has, the setting concrete, form oil etc. It's hard work no end.
Those Steel rebars look very interesting... God bless those who got the knowledge...
Great work gents... I noticed the carpenter's didn't kick the shoring . All in all you iron workers kick ass (always) !!! My concrete people rock on👍👍👍
7:35 my favorite part. Nothing better than getting to the top of a wall to put on a wing nut and it spins on like butter, a lot of people over look checking the treads or if the ends are mushroomed

Nice work guys, good to see reinforcement done properly, wish more youtube videos would show this. Notice when the guy climbed the wall the rebar didn't move!

I've worked in a building project (small building under 10 stories) then in a tunnel project (NATM method) as an engineer and I've never seen such a dense steel reienforcement, (it would be a nightmare to verifie this lol) and such professional workers

When you made your fors out of 2x4’s and steel angle, good way to make verticle custom columns. Saves you the troublemof unbolting traditional panels. Cheaper also.

ayeeee i build elevator cores for Suntec concrete in Phoenix, AZ. tough work with all that weight you gotta carry on your back all day. makes you proud at the end of the day though.

Is this iron workers or carpenters concrete?
So just how strong are reinforced concrete buildings? To what point are they overbuilt? Could they handle twice the load?
A welding tool would be nice for rebar. I have to use a gas saw which is a pain in the ass
A lot of fittings... Shear reinforcement may be thinner and less step

what is actually holding up the steel reinforced slab once the temporary floor and supports underneath are removed?
It gets temporary shoring until it's cured, it's also tied into the rest of the building already.
It's a shame that the same men we depend on to build America are the same men we build a wall on the border to keep them out. Wow--great job and keep up the good work guys! Be safe out there! Lookin' good!

This is is commercial carpentry you would need to find your local carpenters union or get a apprenticeship if from USA or Canada.

interesting video, cool to watch, the points where the video stutters just briefly through the whole video hurt my brain. If you could try to make those moments smoother it would be much nicer to watch

It cures by itself. 28 days to full strength, then post tensioning.

Where are the dates on column...you should have shown the curing process of shear walls and columns
The curing process is just letting it cure. Like watching paint dry. No wet burlap required, as the temps were not extreme.
